McDonald won the district final last night against Southern, 70-59, to move to the Division IV Canton Regional semi-finals against Lucas.
Zach Rasile scored 50 points, moving into second place all-time in Ohio career scoring. He now has 2,992 career points, and will trail only Jon Deibler (another coach's son) on the all-time list. (Rasile would need to get to the state title game and average 54 ppg in these next 4 potential games to tie Deibler's mark...Not gonna happen).
Still, he's had a remarkable and memorable career, and his leadership, and shooting and scoring ability, have propelled a rather otherwise ordinary McDonald team to within 2 games of the state tournament.
