Jackson rolls to set up Brush rematch
JACKSON 81, WARREN HARDING 39 Jackson built a 45-16 lead by halftime and rolled to a sectional final win at home. Kevin James led Jackson (21-3) with 15 points, Michael Skeriotis added 14 and Ben Sullivan had 11. Duncan Moy was the leading scorer for Warren Harding with 14 points. No. 3 seed Jackson advances to host No. 4 Brush on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a rematch of a triple-overtime game in December that the Polar Bears won at home.

Walsh Jesuit survives strong effort from Quentin Toles
WALSH JESUIT 63, PERRY 54 Quentin Toles poured in 31 points but the visiting Panthers fell in a sectional final. Toles scored 20 of his points in the second half for Perry (6-13). Erik Stern led Walsh Jesuit with 20 points. The Warriors led by just two points at halftime but outscored Perry 40-33 the rest of the way.

Last-second shot does not fall for GlenOak
EUCLID 60, GLENOAK 58 A last-second shot attempt did not go in for GlenOak as the No. 16 seed Golden Eagles fell to No. 21 Euclid. GlenOak (10-13) trailed by as many as eight points in the fourth quarter before battling back to cut the deficit to as little as one point after a Stephon Stewart 3-pointer with 15.1 seconds remaining. The Panthers made one free throw on the next possession to make it a two-point lead. The Golden Eagles led 31-25 at the half but ended the third quarter tied with the Panthers 38-38. Jack Davis led GlenOak with 20 points before fouling out while Brody Gowen contributed a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds. Clayton Cunningham led Eucild (8-6) with 26 points.

Fast start propels McKinley to win
MCKINLEY 84, CUYAHOGA FALLS 49 The Bulldogs raced out to a 40-6 lead early in the second quarter on their way to a sectional final win at Memorial Field House. Brent Walker totaled team highs of 26 points and nine rebounds, while Kobe Johnson hit four 3-pointers and scored 19 points. Amarion Herring added 11 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots for the No. 2 seed Bulldogs (16-6), whose first 10 field goals of the night were made up of six 3-pointers and four dunks. Kyler Tepus led No. 33 seed Cuyahoga Falls with 16 points on the strength of four 3-pointers. Brennen Guerin added 10 points. McKinley will host No. 21 seed Euclid in a 7 p.m. district semifinal on Wednesday.

Cade Henne leads Hoover to win in sectional final game
HOOVER 52, BOARDMAN 30 The Vikings limited the host Spartans to seven total field goals in a dominating defensive performance in this sectional final. Hoover’s Cade Henne shot 4-for-4 from 3-point range and scored a game-high 20 points as the No. 12 seed Vikings (15-8) won their seventh straight game. Elijah Barker scored 15 points and dished off four assists, while Brock Henne grabbed eight rebounds and Wes Collins had six assists for Hoover, which won at Boardman 35-32 on Jan. 5. Trey DePietro totaled 10 points and seven rebounds for No. 9 seed Boardman, which was 7-for-40 from the floor (17.5 percent), including 1-for-21 inside the arc. Hoover shot 54.8 percent from the floor. The Vikings will host No. 14 seed Green on Wednesday in a 7 p.m. district semifinal. They split their two regular season matchups.

Dramatic rally sends Green to district
GREEN 49, UNIVERSITY SCHOOL 48 Down three points, Nelson Johnson hit a shot at the buzzer for the Preppers. But his foot was on the line and the shot was ruled a 2 as visiting Green advanced to the district semifinal. The Bulldogs rallied from deficits of 13-0 to start the game, 19-6 after the first quarter and 31-19 at the half. They didn’t lead until two Trey Martin free throws put them up 47-46 with 1:54 left. Martin scored 17 points while Zack Oddo totaled game highs of 23 points and nine rebounds. Ricky Radtke led No. 8 seed University with 16 points. No. 14 seed Green (12-10) will play at No. 12 Hoover on Wednesday in a 7 p.m. district semifinal. The Bulldogs and Vikings split in the regular season.
