As a Catholic, I don’t hate anyone. Therefore, I’ll be voting for Kanye West because anyone Catholic who doesn’t is racist
They are both pretty repugnant from a moral and ethical standpoint. What it is about is their policies.I’d say it’s more of a spectrum than a one issue vote. It’s pretty clear he’s a more miserable human being than Biden. It was a toss up with Clinton. That will factor with a lot of people.
JFK would probably be a Republican now if he held the exact same ideas in this century. Another big difference is Roe v. Wade was still far into the future when he was elected. Not the same hot button issue as today. The last time Catholics voted +20 for any candidate in a presidential election was 1960 and the candidate was proudly catholic JFK. Donald Trump isn’t going to reverse that trend. He’s more likely to lose Catholic voters than gain any.
I love how some pick and choose what makes you a good Catholic or a Christian in general for that matter.
One of them will be president. Much better to have a say in what happens to you than just sitting by while it does.True but Trump supported a woman's right to chose till he ran for President. Plus Trump is a scum bag remember grab her by the pu^^y. I know our local Priest who is no liberal talks about Trump like he was the devil himself. Do the honorable thing and don't vote for either.
Theyll get less time than AOC.Anti-abortion Dems request platform change, plan protests ahead of convention
Ahead of next week's convention, anti-abortion Democrats are lobbying their party to fix what they describe as an "extreme" deviation on the issue that could effectively surrender certain states to Republicans in November.www.foxnews.com
Single issue voters are morons.I’m quite certain it’s a struggle for devout Catholics. I think anyone aware of Trump’s past can surmise he’s probably paid for a few off the books. However, Biden being pro choice makes it hard to choose.
Thank you for making America great again.I am voting but I voted for what I thought was the lesser of 2 evils last time done doing that.
The Pope is a liberal hack so theres that.Catholic voters swung to Trump in 2016 by a seven point margin. They had gone for Obama in both 2008 and 2012. I’m guessing that Trump won’t repeat that performance against a practicing Catholic. The abortion issue is a problem for Joe. It’ll be interesting to see how the church handles it down the stretch. If you’ve followed the church at all it’s clear they’d love nothing more than to get rid of Trump. Several sermons from Pope Francis may as well have “ this is about you Donald” as a title.
You're mixed up.Yes, they absolutely can vote for him. It’s a really similar situation to the evangelical Christians who vote for Trump. Everyone knows their not good Christians but you vote for them anyways.
That's what so many dont get. I dont care if hes a jackass on Twitter. Has not one iota of effect on my life. His policies however do.They are both pretty repugnant from a moral and ethical standpoint. What it is about is their policies.
Trump has clearly acted as an antiabortion President putting two SCOTUS Justices on the bench as well as hundreds of lower court appointments. Four more years of appointments could drastically change this country.True but Trump supported a woman's right to chose till he ran for President. Plus Trump is a scum bag remember grab her by the pu^^y. I know our local Priest who is no liberal talks about Trump like he was the devil himself. Do the honorable thing and don't vote for either.
His policies are.But it’s also naive to think Trump is Pro Life.
If evangelicals can vote for Trump, then Catholics can vote for Biden.
Then a Catholic can't vote for a Republican who supports the death penalty either.Based on pro-life vs. pro-choice? I don't see how for those who believe life is God given and sacred.
As a Catholic, I would say abortion and the death penalty are different because the unborn is an innocent life. ...I just remembered that the fetus is born having sinned. Never mind. Then a Catholic can't vote for a Republican who supports the death penalty either.
What is the Catholic Church's stance on capital punishment? The Bible defines that, not people. As for the thread topic, the Catholic Church is staunchly pro-life. Joe rejects that for political gain. For the sincere practicing Catholics, I think that matters.

It’s the same as men having sex with young boys. It is frowned upon but tolerated. What is the Catholic Church's stance on capital punishment?
What about divorce?
Is there a stance on cheating on your wife? Having a porn star spank you with a magazine?
Anything in there about lying?
What about gluttony?
Obviously they have a stance on all of those things. But as for you, me and everyone else, each of these things rank in some sort of level of seriousness. Given how heated people get in the discussion of abortion, I think it ranks pretty high, relative to the ones you have listed. What is the Catholic Church's stance on capital punishment?

Wow, you can't be serious.As

That happens quite a bit unfortunatelyLike Peosi, Biden is what is known as a cafeteria Catholic. They pick and choose what doctrines of the Church suits them and ignores the ones that would hurt them politically.
Yeah sounds like you are a devout Catholic with talk like that ..It’s the same as men having sex with young boys. It is frowned upon but tolerated.
I'm against the death penalty too, but you have to pick somebody. Seems it's a prerequisite to be pro abortion to run for office as a democrat now. With republicans it is split on the death penalty stillThen a Catholic can't vote for a Republican who supports the death penalty either.
