Urban drivers pay 39% more for car insurance than rural drivers.
Rural voters are strongly conservative and therefore often Republican. Urban voters are typically more likely to Democrat. I think the insurance companies have it figured correctly. Democrats are high risk compared to Republicans.
As a moderate independent, I wondered as well how you identify drivers party affiliation?
For me when I'm in a big city on a congested highway I think, crazy Democrats.
When I'm in the rural country behind a slow moving tractor I think, crazy Republicans.
In the suburbs I dont know who to complain about.
