Mine weren't nearly as extensive as the dude who said that he had watched 3,000 games live, BUT, here goes nuttin.

Lemme start off by saying that I saw three future Heisman Trophy recipients, the night that they were SHUT OUT! Charlie Ward, when they lost to Villa Rica in the state semis, 14-0. George Rogers when he and his Duluth team lost to Central Gwinnett in regular season, 21-0. And Hershel what's his name, the night he and his Johnson Co. Trojans lost in regular season, to Emanuel Co. Institute, 3-0.

Others were:
Malcohm Mitchell of Valdosta
Richard Seymour of Brooks Co.
Cameron Erving of Colquitt Co.
Champ Bailey of Charlton Co.
Jay Ward of Colquitt Co.
Fernando Velasco of Jefferson Co.
Jay Ratliffe of Lowndes
Kris Durham of Calhoun
Thomas Davis of Randolph-Clay
Telvin Smith of Lowndes
Calvin Johnson of Sandy Creek
Jasper Brinkley of Thomson
Virgil Seay of Colquitt
John Samuel Shenker of Colquitt
James Brooks of Warner Robins.
Garrison Hearst of Lincoln Co.
William Andrews of Thomasville
Guy McIntyre of Thomasville
Alvin Kamara of Norcross
Tyreek Hill of Coffee High.
Alexander Wright of Albany High
Deon Branch of Monroe High
Trevor Lawrence of Cartersville
Kirby Smart of Bainbridge
Mike Bobo of Thomasville
Cam Newton of Westlake
Justin Fields of Harrison
Ray Guy of Thomson
Pat Dye of Richmond Academy
Mel Blount of Metter
Burt Reynolds of Waycross
Jamal Lewis of Douglass
Robert Edwards of Washington Co.
Fran Tarkenton of Athens High

I don't have an extensive list, but based on future notoriety, I've seen at least two first overall picks of the NFL draft.

Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray.

And honestly, the QB from Southlake Carroll, Quinn Ewers, looked even better than those two in HS.

UGA may get a chance to see Ewers up close and personal, in 2024.

I just don't keep track of players. See far too many teams throughout the years that the number is ridiculous.

My best players ever were:

Quinn Ewers
Kyler Murray
Zack Collaros
Journey Brown
Akise Teague

I’ve seen several future college stars and pros play in person, but some of the very best high school players I’ve ever seen live didn’t go on to any major college and a few never played beyond high school.

When talking about great highlight tapes, years ago I stumbled upon one by accident and was just amazed at how good this kid was. I had never heard of him. Prince Tyson Gulley from Akron Garfield. I believe he wound up at Syracuse. Dang, his high school highlights were fun to watch!

Work. Just travel a lot, so I get around.
LUCKY guy.
As an aside, I once met a guy on the national message board. Who had a similar gig that took him across the far expanses of America, on football Friday nights. He resides in Restin, Va., and until retirement, was the owner of a company that supplied the attractions for fifty of the major amusement parks in the USA.

Speaking of Kyler Murray. He used to make high school defenses look silly. I remember one season in the state finals. When his team was playing Cypress Ranch. And was faced with a fourth and fourteen, from their own 38 yd. line. And the coach opted to go for it, tied 7-7, in the FIRST quarter. Everybody in the state knew that this coach would call Kyler's number. And he RAN, and he RAN, as fast as he can, for SIXTEEN YARDS and a FIRST DOWN, SOUTHLAKE CARROLL!!! ***ROTFLMAO*** TOTAL disregard for their opponent.

Kyler Murray went to Allen, not SLC.

Prince was a great player for Garfield who did indeed play for Syracuse. He was a nice receiver out of the backfield there.

His brother Toneo was also outstanding. Most may not know him because he transferred from Garfield to a HS in Wisconsin. He also played college football (at Navy) and was co-Captain his senior year.

I'm GLAD you mention this. The leading receiver in Region 1-7A NEVER saw the inside of a college dorm. And the second leading receiver in our Region was RASHAD BATEMAN, the leading receiver in the BIG TEN!

You know, when I typed this, I KNEW it didn't sound right. I stand corrected. HELL, if I was PUUUUURFECT, you could call me Joe Biden.

As an aside, you'd think with an enrollment of 6600, Allen's coach could have found a QB1 on his six deep depth chart, without stealing him from another school. ***wink***

Allen always looks to the outside for QB1. Agree with you, not sure why.

I don't pick games based off things like things, usually sticking to games of local interest or involving my teams. So my list I actually watched live that went on to play at P5 schools:

Joel Penton
Ben Mauk
Matt Mauk
Mylan Graham (New Haven, IN)

Others my school has played but I wasn't at the game
Kelton Lindsay
Deshon Kizer
Zach Harmon (Duke OL 2014-2018)
Mike D'Andrea

I’m old but played against some HOF players in high school in Western Pa…scrimmaged against Joe Montana (Ringgold Hs) and played Tony Dorsett (Hopewell). My older brother coached Dan Marino as a Freshmen at Central Catholic.

Tommy Clements (Bishop Canevin) also comes to mind. He went on to play QB at Notre Dame and in Canada. Also an NFL asst. coach. Clements was a great athlete had basketball offers to North Carolina and many others..played against him as a Sophomore in football and watched him play high school basketball at our gym. Also, Montana was a very good basketball player as I remember had some D1 offers.
