Week 6: Elder

Not too shabby. Early Bomber turnovers killed X. I was surprised Elder's defense was able to keep X to just 7 points for as long as they did.

Bombers are good in all phases, but not as strong on either side of the ball (especially up front) as they've been in the past. Surprised they were 5-0.

I think a lot of people were surprised by their 5-0 start and they needed a humbling loss to cool their jets, no pun intended. I teach with an associate head coach for Walnut Hills and even he said he didn't see the Bombers doing better than 4-6 before the season started.
Penalties, penalties, penalties plagued the Bombers Friday night vs Elder. Elder was tough, fast, and played very well so I don't want to blame it all on penalties and take away credit where its due. The O-line suffered and the free yardage given to Elder was enormous. You can't give Elder all the free yards and not expect them to capitalize on it.
Defense has to focus on not giving up all the big yard plays.
