Veteran Findlay Boys Basketball Coach To Retire

Apparently Roth has not yet been offered. Curious.

😆
At this point not sure why they wouldn’t offer him. Young coach and has done a pretty decent job at BG which was a pretty down program before he took over. If it’s not going to be him then what other options do they have?

Who is in charge of this process? AD? Super? Board members? It just doesn’t seem like they have any real direction or idea of what to do.

New word from the Flag City: Findlay is considering starting the process over instead of offering the job to Roth!!!! Wow, is all I can say at this point.

Maybe they shouldn't have run off their Hall of Fame coach?? I would imagine the 4 candidates who were offered the job somewhere in the interview process saw how unrealistic and delusional the administration is (whoever that may be....AD, superintendent, school board, etc.)

If they weren't happy with Rucki then they probably won't be happy with whoever they hire. Especially if the first year or two will be a struggle.

Could you enlighten use why you think Findlay "ran off" Rucki after his most successful (greatly over performed expectations) year at Findlay. Why didn't they a few years ago when underperformed with a talented roster.

This isn't the first year that "they" wanted him gone. He still wanted to stay and not leave the cupboard bare but "they" amped up the pressure and he finally had enough.

Who is "they"? Name names. I'm as frustrated as anyone it has taken this long. Buckeye likes to spread manure and should have applied.

Will Findlay have a coach before the start of June? From the outside looking in, Findlay looks like a bunch of fools! Who would have thought the mighty Trojans would not be capable of finding a basketball coach?

I assume they is the school board. If so do you have any idea why. I know there was some parents not a fan of him but that is the case with every team sports coach.

The BOE has picked out a few people district wide that they want to see leave. Basketball and Rucki is just the most visible. Why is a mystery other than ego driven. They have been successful twice and the morale is suffering mostly because of this BOE.

That is odd to pick him yet continue to keep a bad 30+ year Cross Country coach that has been just coasting to retirement for a decade. I know the reason nobody outside of parents give a crap about CC.

I have heard there is a lot of discontent at the HS with a lot of it driven by the show choir director and the handling of him and the hazing that went on in that program.
