The Teays Valley girls cross country. "Shines Bright at the Celtic Clash Night Race with a 9th-Place Finish"
The Teays Valley girl's cross-country team raced under the lights at Dublin Jerome's Celtic Clash and wearing glow-in-the-dark gear, the Vikings shone despite competing in their first night race.
Teays Valley finished 9th out of 24 teams, with standout performances from Katy Zang leading the charge, breaking the school record again, and was under 17:00 with a shattering 16:59 finish. This will make Katy Zang a perfect 4/4 in races on the season. Reese Galinger and Addie Keplar continued to be a dynamic duo and finished at 15th and 32nd, respectively. Kate Charter, who finished 106th, 21:41, was another Viking pack contributor. Julie Charter ran a 21:41 for 107th, and Iris Ardrey was at 108th with a 21:41 and achieved her season-best times. Claire Krouse rounded out the leaderboard with a 126th-place finish at 22:32.
