I stick to my comments. The game was never in doubt. The Hornets were a blown coverage away from another shutout. Kirtland wore the G-Men down in the second half. Even with a size advantage that never translated into an advantage for Garfield. I felt Kirtland was the stronger team and played much more disciplined. The Garfield players got a bit chippy at the end because they were I'm sure not used to seeing a team go on a 9min scoring drive. I think Kirtland was glad to be able to break in a new kicker that never kicked a ball before Saturday - but would have preferred to punch it in a few more times. Garfield was a solid team but even after they scored - it was still a two score game with 10mins left. Trust me being on the Kirtland side - there was not a feeling that the game was in doubt.
