How would you rank the 13 D1 basketball teams from Ohio thus far? Here are my thoughts:
#1 - OSU (7-0) - No brainer.
#2 - Xavier (5-0) - A top 15 team in the country. I believe a clear #2.
#3 - CSU (6-1) - This is where it gets tough. I have CSU here based on a win over Vandy. Loss to Hofstra though.
#4 - Kent State (3-1) - Nice win over WVU. Only loss to CSU.
#5 - Dayton (5-2) - Wins over Minnesota and Wake Forest but blowout loss to Buffalo is perplexing.
#6 - OU (4-1) - No great wins but had Louisville on the ropes in only loss.
#7 - Cincinnati (4-2) - Seems low but only decent win was versus Miami and have lost to Presbyterian and Marshall.
#8 - Bowling Green (4-2) - Beat Temple. Losses against Georgia and GW.
#9 - Akron (3-3) - Disappointing start. Expect them to be better down the road.
#10 - Miami (2-3) - Beat Dayton but lost to Cincy, SE Mizz St and Xavier.
#11 - Toledo (5-1) - Could argue this ranking based on record but have beaten nobody and lost to Texas State.
#12 - Youngstown St (4-1) - Similar argument as Toledo. Beaten nobody.
#13 - Wright State (2-4) - Looks like a long season.
