PA. Football state finals attendance

what is their ticket pricing policies...
$8 plus a fee online only this year. No cash sales. One ticket per game since they're at 1 and 7 on Thursday and Friday and 12 and 6 on Saturday.

Parking is free, however.

There's advanced sales through the school but I have no clue if they're discounted or not.

I do know the state pays $4 one way for each of two busses ($2 round trip) for each participating school. Which is a fairly good rate and most hire coaches instead of using school busses.

Also some fans that go to all the games were ticked a few years ago, because one ticket was good all day for decades. Then they decided you couldn't reuse your stub from the earlier game to get in the night game. Which essentially doubled the cost.

Though the year they had the Saturday tripleheader (first year of 6 classes) one ticket got you in all day if you didn't leave.

Also, there was a bit of uproar a few years ago when they raised the price from $7 to $8.

Most regular season games in PA are $4 or $5 and playoffs are usually $5 or $6 (depending on district or state playoffs, states were always $6). Heinz Field (WPIAL finals) for four games was $10. This year it was 2 games Friday and 3 Saturday, and it was $10 each day. But you could stay for all of them.

Total attendance for Hershey: 19,822
Breakdown:
2563 for 1A
4306 for 4A
3174 at 2A
2679 for 5A
3405 for 3A
3965 for 6A
Are you fer REAL? In 2014, the attendance for Colquitt County's GHSA State Championship game was 14,000 PACKER fans. Archer had probably another 8,000. And it was estimated that another 10,000 plus from the previous games, stuck around to see the big boy finals. And tix were $20.00-$25.00 American.

Unbelievably cheap prices, seeing as how income in the NORTH is probably two to three times, what it is in the South. Regular season tickets since 2010, have been $10.00 for regular season tickets. And $25.00 for the finals, with the prices rising each week after the first round.

Pennsylvania in mid-December. All the games are on local cable almost throughout the state.

It's what you're used to. In PA, and even Ohio, cheap tickets are expected because that's just how it's always been. In Georgia, it was $23 a day when I went at Georgia State Stadium. But you got in for all four games. In PA, it's per game. Need a new ticket for a new game now. Same as Ohio. So, lot less likely to see fans want to stick around (plus in PA, games were at 1pm and 7pm, so a big wait between games). Not like in GA where another game is starting 30 minutes after the last game ended and it's free to stick around.

But let's be real here. How many casual fans will stay ALL day, especially when these dang games are OUTSIDE now, in usually crappy weather in mid- December? At least our two games in 2014-2015 were in the Georgia Dome.

And I believe that you either took MARTA for five bucks both ways. Or parked for whatever the going rate was, in the stadium parking lots. Not to mention that eats were borderline OUTRAGEOUS! Five bucks for a soft drink, and five bucks for a wedge of pizza.

The games are back at MBS this year. Food is not high priced there. It's not that people will stay all day but many will arrive early to watch the end of the previous game and some stay late to catch the start of the next game and if it's good will stick around for the entire game.
