Ned Reeb

Psych sheets are up for Ned Reeb. UA looks to be a lock to win. From there it should be a battle for second. Toledo St. Francis is not back this year. That's unfortunate. University and St. Charles have the most swimmers. University's are seeded higher. Ignatius & Solon are well positioned to place high. The surprise in the team competition may be where Granville finishes. As always it should be a good meet.

It is unfortunate that St. Francis will not be swimming this weekend. With all of the changes that are happening since he took over, Coach Kurth felt it would better serve the swimmers to not attend that meet, nor the St. Charles invite last weekend. Both UA and St. X are coming to St. Francis in a couple of weeks for meets though.

Looks like alot of the times on the psych sheet are from last year's taper. That could mean that there will be alot of movement up and down in each event. I wouldn't put alot of stock into psych sheet scores...although the team title appears to be a contest between UA & University. UA beat University 97-89 last week in a duel meet. UA should prevail Saturday as the top of their team is stronger than the top of University's team. I suspect that University kept the score close because they are a deeper team. That won't help them in a meet like the Ned Reeb. Because of the size of the field teams with little depth for a duel meet can score impressively.

it also looked like ua was missing jelen who was taking the sat/act, but us looked like they swam really well for all they have lost...prediction time...

Unless Jelen is a scratch, he's listed in the psych sheet as entered in fly & back. Anyway, predictions:

Medley - Iggy, SC, UA
200 Free - Long, Christian, Kabelka
200 IM - Reardon, McKinley, Ivkovic
50 - Hren, Whitaker, Hinesman
Fly - Simcox, Higdon, Pinchot
100 Free - Pophal, Miller, Hinesman
500 - Long, Kabelka, Cook
200 Free R - Iggy, UA, University
Back - Trace, Carson, Hopkins
Breast - Hren, Reardon, Welty
400 Free R - Iggy, UA, Dublin Jerome

UA wins the team title comfortably, but Iggy edges University for second. It looks like Iggy is stacking their relays...Pophal & Christian are each only swimming 1 individual event. Solon and SC battle for fourth.

wasn't able to make the meet this weekend, but looks like ua exhibited excellent top end talent and a bit more depth than originally thought, solon and sc also looked excellent on the results, anyone there able to see how the kids actually looked?
