Who will be MAC champions

I never said they don’t count - I pointed out that you picked the exception to the argument. Look at the D6 and 7 state champions (and D5 prior to 2013) over the last 20 years and tell me how many of them other than Kirtland were public schools with football and boys soccer. It’s not many.
Respectfully, you're having your own separate conversation. I responded to post #1,582. You're adding in your own qualifiers of "state champions" and "D6 and 7" that were not present in that post. Post #1,582 was referring to soccer within the MAC and how having soccer can be devastating in football competing against non-soccer schools. Kirtland, as an example, fits within that framework of having soccer yet still having a successful football program. Archbold, South Range, Grandview Heights, and Bluffton are additional examples of small schools that manage to field both soccer and football without issue. You're talking about state champions and I'm referring to the viability of football/soccer coexisting at a small school. The latter of which clearly happens throughout the state of Ohio without devastation. I used D5-D7 small school examples, because this is a MAC thread and the MAC is a D5-D7 league. We're having separate conversations and I just want to point that out. You make fair points, but they are not necessarily connected to the intent of what I was saying. (y)

Likely. Bruce, have you done any calculations on the Boys Cross Country state projections yet ? I am interested as it’s o most likely Versailles best team ever.
I don't do that until after regionals. I have historical data I use to adjust the times from each regional track to predict how everyone will do at state.

Kirtland is the exception, not the rule. For almost every other D6-D7 school it is absolutely a disadvantage if schools have both football and boys soccer
I'd be really curious to look at the top 4 schools in every region DV -DVII and see the breakdown of who does and doesn't have soccer. I have no idea what the results would produce other than my perceived idea that it's really hard to have both and be successful at both at smaller schools.

Don't know about top 4 in each division but Perry won D5, and has soccer, Kirtland D6 soccer, Marion Local D7 no soccer.

2 out of 3 aint bad.

Anna vs. Versailles seems to be the game of the week. I haven't seen Versailles yet, but I liked how Anna used their skill positions in space. For those of you who have seen both what are you expecting?

Versailles has some key senior players out with injuries. Their defense will need to contain Osborn and Shappie. Not sure they can do it. Home field advantage may help the tigers. It will be a close game, but I think the tigers win 14-10.
It’s wild that ‘Osborn and Shappie’ are now the names Versailles fans DON’T want to score 😉

It will be Homecoming at Versailles, and the home team will bounce back from last Friday and play well.

The Tigers' offense is somewhat limited, but their defense will be strong and V will win in a low-scoring game.

Tigers 13-7
Right score wrong winning team. But good prediction overall.

True. Only 2 kids from the CW team he played on could see some PT on the current cavalier teams.

Lil surprised at rhe Anna ver score. That game was the pretender/contender game..
Could’ve been a blowout too. Press pros said that 3 of their touchdowns were called back and didn’t score on any of those drives.

Better put this one in this chat before the pot gets stirred in the other one. MLs JV beat Trotwoods JV 44-12 this morning. Was kind of shocked by that outcome. Perhaps the 1+ hour bus ride for the Rams got to them.

Has TM done much since their main recruiter moved on to Springfield?

God Bless TM for coming to BFE.

Nope even lost to mercer Co. Celina last year in the playoffs.

This proves - beyond a shadow of a doubt - that Marion's varsity could beat Glenville!!
