Uh you are correct in some years.I agree, and I would think most MAC people on here would agree with that, No MAC school are in the top 20 of the HS programs in the state, TOP 50 i would say in SOME years...

What's your point? We proved that when we could barely beat Oak HillsUh, as I have said hundreds of times,MAC is the best small school league in the state.Top 20 in the state no way.Big boys have 280 to 310 kids playing in 9-12. MAC maybe 80 to 100. Numbers dont compare.
Interesting they would say that publiclyso in todays Celina daily Standard, the Parkway school board announce that they have NO thought of leaving the MAC for the NWC..
it was part of the meeting..Interesting they would say that publicly
Probably bc of the girls' sports having success. Their best option is to be a football only member of the NWC if this current coach can't find success. We all know the administration is fine with football getting whooped in the MAC. They're hoping they got lucky & hired the right guy. I hope they did, as it seems like he's definitely trying to change the culture. I'd like to follow Parkway in the playoffs in the future.so in todays Celina daily Standard, the Parkway school board announce that they have NO thought of leaving the MAC for the NWC..
nope didn't mention it at all, in fact Garret Searight, a grad of Parkway, spoke at the meeting and gave reasons why they should move to the NWC.... you might want to take a look at the article...Probably bc of the girls' sports having success. I think he made some good points. The least the board can do is at least consider itnope didn't mention it at all, in fact Garret Searight, a grad of Parkway, spoke at the meeting and gave reasons why they should move to the NWC.... you might want to take a look at the article...
i thought he did so to, I don't know if this subject was brought up at the LAST board meeting, or for the first time the other nightI think he made some good points. The least the board can do is at least consider it
Not paying for it if that's the way to access it. Call me a tightwad. Being around their community, a few in charge would rather ride the conferences coattails. Good excuse for not having success that way. Like I said, why change when girls hoops & softball are competing at the top of the conference? Same song & dance. Really it'd be nice to see conference by sport only in HS & College but that will never expand from those currently doing it.nope didn't mention it at all, in fact Garret Searight, a grad of Parkway, spoke at the meeting and gave reasons why they should move to the NWC.... you might want to take a look at the article...
pretty tough to do scheduling if you did different sports for different conferences..Not paying for it if that's the way to access it. Call me a tightwad. not sure where you are from, but if you have a way to read the article , i think you would find it interesting...Not paying for it if that's the way to access it. Call me a tightwad. People have been saying that about Parkway for 20+ years outside of the 2007 football season with generational talent in Thompson and then the 2020 boys basketball team.I’m personally exhausted of the Parkway leaving talk. I think they’ve been very competitive lately in a lot of sports not named Football. And that could change in a blink of an eye ala New Bremen.
Not sure on exact details but I know they have a few state baseball trophies. Their girls are very competitive recently. I think they just get a lot of unjustifiable flak. They’ve been a loyal conference member for years so why not just leave it that way. Recipe for success within the conference has clearly worked so farPeople have been saying that about Parkway for 20+ years outside of the 2007 football season with generational talent in Thompson and then the 2020 boys basketball team.
2 baseball titles 87 & 91 I believe (correct me if wrong) as that's the male sport at Parkway. Basketball in 2020 that seems more of a one off & 2007 football having a few athletes like Thompson, Painter, & etc. Outside of that, their female sports have carried them in the conference as of late. Not to be critical, but outside of volleyball it seems the MAC hasn't been to their normal standards in female sports, though it would be the best for a lot of conferences. Does that coincide with Parkway having success in those sports? Seems to be a big cultural & genetic difference compared to the southern Mercer MAC schools & others besides DSJ vs Parkway. Not sure on exact details but I know they have a few state baseball trophies. Baseball state championships in 1987 and 1991 so over 30 years ago and volleyball in 96 and 97 for state championships. Runner up in 2005.Not sure on exact details but I know they have a few state baseball trophies. Their girls are very competitive recently. I think they just get a lot of unjustifiable flak. I get the exhaustion, but the question is going to persist because the fact is Parkway isn't competitive in most sports. I've said it before here and I'll say it again...Parkway won't join the NWC if there are schools north and east of Lima. So as long as Allen East, Bluffton, and Columbus Grove are in the NWC, Parkway won't be. It's just that simple.I’m personally exhausted of the Parkway leaving talk. Don't blame them! Wish Crestview would leave for that reason as well. Be nice to get that new league that I bring up in the NWC thread.I get the exhaustion, but the question is going to persist because the fact is Parkway isn't competitive in most sports. I understand it to a point. Parkway to Allen East, Bluffton, or Columbus Grove isn't a horrible drive. 4-lane drives for the majority of all 3 trips.Don't blame them! Wish Crestview would leave for that reason as well. Be nice to get that new league that I bring up in the NWC thread.
That makes it less likely DSJ will go to NWC. I heard their big hold-up to making the move is they are not sure NWC will be around a handful+ of years from now but if Parkway joined that would greatly increase the likelihood of the NWC having a long-term future.so in todays Celina daily Standard, the Parkway school board announce that they have NO thought of leaving the MAC for the NWC..
100% agree. How many state titles do we think the MAC brings home this year? Can Marion get chipped by Minster?Oh good, I see the thread has made remarkable progress. Still talking about what league Parkway should be in and why.![]()
DSJ moving to the NWC would remove this issue. 8 schools, 7 football, with other area schools that have already shown interest in being football-only membersThat makes it less likely DSJ will go to NWC. What do you want to talk about? How Versailles is going to be?Oh good, I see the thread has made remarkable progress. Still talking about what league Parkway should be in and why.![]()
I heard the Osborne kid isn't even playing football this year. Rumor has it he is concentrating on wrestling full time. So I was actually thinking 6-4 record. Though Versailles does have a few other guys that will help get some wins. What do you want to talk about? How Versailles is going to be?
Michael Osborne is a stud. He's not going to be able to do it all himself.
Tigers go 7-3 with losses to Marion Local, Coldwater, and a late season collapse to Minster. They lose to Kirtland in the State Championship game.
NEXT.
I’m not trying to be snarky, but can you do New Bremen prior to 2020?Baseball state championships in 1987 and 1991 so over 30 years ago and volleyball in 96 and 97 for state championships. Runner up in 2005.
