Winless Marlington goes on the road to visit winless Minerva in a game where someone has to win.

Both programs fell on rough times. Who comes away with a win to feel better about themselves going forward?

I wish a clean and injury free game on both sides and for both to build in a positive direction for seasons to come.

I’m not sure Marlington knows how to put 31 points on the board. We’ll find out who wants it more however.
It's Not really about who wants it more, Marlington will have too much manpower for Minerva and win 42-14. I hope I am wrong but the Lions will play hard but will struggle physically.

I was just saying a lot of less talented teams win on Friday nights. In some cases I guess. Both teams looking for their first win this time of the year and maybe last win of the season, you would think talent doesn’t have that much to do with it.

Dukes - 24
Lions - 15

Athletically the lions are ok, they just have issues in the trenches. They do have some good looking skilled guys and they will play hard for 4 quarters under this coach. They will likely go 0-9 but this is the most encouraged I have been in years, especially when looking at the entire program and the attention to the off season training.

Heard Minerva is back to the old Minerva Unbalanced offense? Is that true?

I really would like to see Minerva win but I just don't see it. The Lions need to get some other really struggling programs on their schedule and try tp pick up some winss.

Ice cold take here, but Mauro is washed up. Hasn't won many games the last few places he has been. I know he is revered by many in Stark County but I don't see him turning around marlington.

That said, Minerva is worse and has been worse for a while longer. Marlington by 6

This. Last week his “game plan” was crazy, how do you kick (3) short FGs against a team you haven’t stopped in 2 years(0 punts)🤷‍♂️ Also when you are hanging on, and WB scores to go up 7 while getting a 15 yard penalty how do you not take the yardage on the try so it stays 1 poss? Nope take it on the kickoff give up broken play 2 pt conversation, then they still pinned us inside the 20 on the kickoff, so traded crappy field poss for a 2 score deficit, and then spiking the ball on 3rd and 10 with 30 seconds left in the half, with a TO, to kick another FG down 28...I don’t know what the point was, that being said they should beat Minerva, but I’m not sold he doesn’t gameplan a way to lose

This game will not be close... and that shows you how far away Minerva is... Marlington is winless (0-7) and bad, but they will win this game and I would be shocked if it wasnt running clock at some point. 44-6

I think they run the old veer but that is partly because the old coaching staff only had 1 quarterback the last 4 years and didn't develop any others. so Speakman is starting from square 1. It's almost like football is a new sport to the school after the last 3 years..

Probably the best thing to happen to Carrollton was him leaving

I dont think this started within the last three years.
