Per the La Salle broadcasting team at WLSN:
Lancers currently with NFL teams: veteran Brent Celek (PHI) and Julian Posey (NYJ) and 4 new rookies: Garrett Celek (SF), DeVier Posey (HOU), Chandler Burden (TEN), & J.K. Schaffer (JAC).
Nice story about Posey from last Friday. While other class of 2012 draftees were waiting by their cell phones or pimping for facetime in the green room on the second day of the draft, Posey spent the day at La Salle and gave a humbling talk to the student body. From Hawaiian Terrace to the NFL..
JK has spent a lot of time up at La Salle this week too before he heads off to Jacksonville. He's very approachable and blends in as just one of the guys.
So proud of these men and inspired by their loyalty to La Salle. Reminds me of the picture of Celek after an Eagles game last year while interviewing him in the locker room. Hanging on his locker in the background was his La Salle letter jacket. Not his pro team jacket or college for that matter but his La Salle high school jacket.
