I don't know if this applies to any of you, but in my corners of the internet, I've seen lots of indications of family and friends going no-contact with each other. If that does apply to you, they're not coming back. You get that right? Trump winning changes nothing. They're not going to call you up, "tears in their eyes", begging for your forgiveness and looking to repair the broken relationship all of a sudden now that Trump won. You have to realize that this betrayal has put the final nail in the coffins of your various relationships. Trump winning has guaranteed that you'll go to your grave without them in your lives.

This person will block their parents up until the point where they need something, then I'm sure mom/dad will be there just like always.
But yeah, ox framing this as kids not owed their parents anything is one way to look at it I guess. lol

The Republicans won because the Democrats have gone off the deep end with woke politics. If the Dems pivot more centrist while the Pubs go too far right, they'll get spanked next time around. Restraint and moderation are key for keeping a long term hold.

For starters, stay away from abortion all together. Leave it with the states but do NOTHING federally. Don't prove the left's fears correct about it. Just don't do it.

If your justification for something is that the other side did it first, it's probably not something you should be engaging in. I've said it before, but it's hilarious to me how politics gets adults behaving like children. "Well he did it first" isn't a justification or excuse we'd ever tolerate from our children but when it comes to politics it's okay rationale. lol
In 2016 I voted for the most Dems I've ever voted for, in 2024 that count was 1 and it was because Joe Deters is a POS. Like Crusaders said, I'm sure the Reps will screw up, and if the Dems start acting like sane people again my 2028 votes will be closer to my 2016. Here's to hoping I'm wrong though.
