Arkansas is such a volatile team . Down big to Vandy and coming back forcing OT and thankfully winning on ML Parlay. Had Kentucky beat and Alabama down and almost out before succumbing but covering. At their best ? Very good team. But also maybe the most disappointing team in the country . Getting 6.5 looked valuable absinthe’s thought so as it’s 5.5 now . This team could get blown out or win by 15 and neither would surprise anyone . Still a play.
SD State just lost to UNLV last week . Laying 4 Issa solid ML play as they should take care of business .

Loyola of Chicago has been reliable lately and is a ML option laying a couple over St Bonny
You're right Mr. Crane. Arkansas had UK beat....until they didn't. It was a great game and Rupp was rocking that afternoon.

Nice win for OSU , now playing fast paced more rested. Illinois . Hopefully they can control pace well enough . Stanford was run out big by Washington State and the biggest go against team after they had to furiously cone back against Cal down big at the half and then play OT . WSU a better team with more rest cruised gobs best bet win .

UVA. escaped and got a luckier cover and win in OT vs BC playing their third straight game. Baylor was a nice east winner playing with rest over UC who had beaten up Kansas . Didn’t participate but Villanova off their escape vs terrible DePaul lost in OT to Marquette who was playing their first game .

Michigan State needing to hit 63 percent of their 3’s and go on a 17-3 turnover fest run to cover by a few points was kind of a bad beat but nothing like Loyola Chicago who was up 11 late in the second half but then proceeded to miss 15 straight shots and lost by one in double OT. Yikes . Brutal . Vicious beat

Vicious beat

Some aren’t thrilled with the Bucks giving the inexperienced Diebler the big seat and it’s a legit thought. They see the job as bigger than this type of hire . It’s a decent argument. Happy for Diebler but also realize the job isn’t as attractive to top tier coaches at this point . Easy OVER look last night with Cornell’s pace and OSU scoring ability the last few weeks and favorable athletic advantages . 11 was too high but the total was the way to go .

Virginia flat out didn’t belong and there were 4-5 teams clearly better and or more deserving . Some feed off the crap they get and win that first game . UVA simply wasn’t good enough. CSU was power rated better than a couple points and was a solid play as well . Under was 121 for a reason .

OSU got screwed by the whistle vs. Illinois (. More than double fewer free throws and no fouls called on Illinois in the last 6 minutes despite at least 3 clear fouls being ignored including a obvious push on the back late that let Illinois get an offensive board ). Bucks still covered for us as they had done almost automatically down the stretch.

The first couple rounds of the NIT are akin to certain early lower level college football bowl games from a situational handicapping situation . Motivations and mindsets can differ to larger degrees in certain matchups . Getting Boston College with a handful of points playing a more disappointed Providence club , and it’s a former league rival with a short bus ride distance made it an automatic play that BC. won outright .

UNLV had some.visions of an NCAA berth albeit a moderate shot but lost in OT to San Diego St. The NIT generally early on tries to regionalize the early matchups with shorter trips. They are from a 6 bid league so the disappointment is legit and they have to go 2000 miles to play Princeton in a. smaller quirky gym . Princeton also disappointed but at home laying a bucket (. ML better ). And they are a better team metrics wise as well .

VCU is playing fairly well and Villanova is not thrilled being in this tourney . Nova at their under motivated worst we saw barely beat horrible DePaul . VCU getting 7 is pretty good here .

Kansas keeping injury info from everyone along with their blue blood status gets them an absurd 4 seed . One of their 2 studs not playing (. Mcuellrs) As it was I with him playing I liked Samford + 8.5 (. Now 7). Could be a very competitive game .

Montana St is hot and playing their best the last few weeks . Early ML price over Grambling was a good valuable . Laying 4.5 now.

I have Colorado 4 points better than Boise and they are very hot the past few weeks as well and maybe a bit undervalued here .

Incredible league trend .With an 8 seed or worse since 2003 the Mountain West conference is an astounding 3-32 straight up which is bad but this as lower seeded teams but they are also 5-28 against the number as well . Mind boggling ineptitude . Utah State is on a 1-19 tournament run .

ACC conference win total. UNDER 6 looks pretty good with NC State as an 11 will probably lose and Clemson looking iffy puts it on UNC and Duke’s plate .

Long established trends can be very useful and valuable in the tournament. In conference Tourney action the first half early tip first half UNDER is well known at this point. It was profitable again this year. A 63 percent trend the last handful of years is also very solid in the big tourney in the early rounds with the tips at 1.00pm or earlier. Michigan State - Miss St. the first game today $tayed under today in the first half[And whole game as well} and Izzo as a lower seed than his opponent and or an underdog along with having a 76 percent first round win rate made it a great start.

Arizona - LB State was a tossup spread wise and it landed within a half point of the closing line, but the trend that a total being bet up to over 4 points from the opening also have been heavier [Over 62 percent} to the UNDER and that was the case today. Dane Altman of Oregon has never lost in the first round and they are looking good so far. Duquesne was getting a few too many points and was a nice winner easily covering the whole way and even winning outright over a MEH team when away from home overall. BYU who was also not that athletic. Morehead St. getting too many vs. defensively challenged Illinois was right there at the half but is getting handled easily in the second half so not looking good there but Illinois looks like they will play yet another OVER game. South Dakota St. + 15.5- 16 against sometimes offensively challenged Iowa State looked valuable. Hopefully pace stays slower making those points worth a bit more.

First half unders in early tips continue to cash , this one easily as Northwestern and FAU slog it out . Colgate isn’t the same three point shorting machine offensively efficient team they had been the last couple years and they still of course don’t match up well with very athletic teams. They lost 9 games but were given undeserved respect line wise va. Baylor . Bears were 13 at open. Up to 14.5 are cruising by about 20 . A couple larger favs look good later as well .

Two dogs that are pretty interesting are Western Kentucky got at + 16 ( down to 14.5 vs Marquette and UAB+ 7.5 vs. San Diego St .

UCONN playing perhaps the worst team in the tourney opened 24 and I had it 27.5. It’s now at 26.5 . Huskies. 89 - 60 ?

Texas AM has been scoring a ton of points lately with some personnel tweaks plays Nebraska who csn
Score the ball with a small handful of guys . This one was lined at 146.5 and both squads have been getting over this number readily . Like this one to get to the 160’s at least .

Harry you wagered a total of zero dollars.

UCONN and Baylor were good bullie$$ today. Beat up outclassed sparring partners.

TCU -3. (. ML). To beat Utah State , and like Wisky’s form to overtake JMU . ML steep at -4.5 but is now up to -5.5 so not too bad . Texan AM Nebraska to play a higher scoring game with AM getting the W .
Teams of a blowout loss in conference tourney are pretty solid ATS over several years . Houston embarrassed plays Longwood. They may treat them like a snooty prep school wandering into a city gym . Win by about 25-27 and hold them under their 52.5 team total. .

Really nice Friday. Interesting games big upset , a few surprises . Alabama Charleston was the most obvious over at open as both teams play fast and don’t lose sleep over not playing defense . Handful more wins than losses always makes it more entertaining.

Dayton was not a real good team the last few weeks and were zcapable of getting behind by 17 vs. Nevada . Credit for the comeback but Arizona is better than Nevada and wouldn’t likely goinlet them do that again . Dayton fighting still though

Michigan State getting 4 and hopefullly coaching edge over Davis plays itself out in a close game. Going against Kansas again as we got a nice Samford late push to cover but like Gonzaga on the ML to send Kansas home

Sparty got taken to the woodshed after having the temerity to take an early 13 point lead . That was pretty ugly and all credit to a rare very good UNC defense.

Gonzaga was also an easy winner but with a better result for us.

Tennessee to get over a hump of sorts with Barnes coaching mark in the tournament notorious. Teaser down to -1.5 with Illinois -10.5 down to -5.5 . ML parlay insurance .

Purdue team total came in more than easily , but got a bit greedy and added a half unit on Eddy’s point total. OVER 23.5 . He scored “Only “ 23 but if the game wasn’t a total blowout and he was needed more he could have scored 40. Utah State major weakness is interior defense . Didn’t want Purdue laying that much lumber but liked then to score a lot inside . Had more on the team total but a fairly vicious beat on Eddy.

JMU is a deer in the headlights at the moment . Could get pulverized of Duke keeps hitting three’s at this clip . Under looks good in this one so far due to JMU ineptness

Alabama playing a College OF Charleston club who likes to play as fast as they do was the first obvious over of the first round. Grand Canyon with the ability to play at different tempo's knew that they couldn't keep up with Alabama and is playing slow. UNDER 172.5 is looking really good. UCONN at - 12 [Now higher} teased with Indiana State who covered outright is seeming like it could be a lay-up [UCONN - 7}

Disappointing that OSU women are out as it seems they may have peaked a bit early and that blowout loss to Maryland was a real warning. Wasn't buying the 8.5 points they were giving Georgia and took advantage of it[Made it 6.5} but was hoping they could get the win. So no more hoops for OSU. Sweat the Indiana State ML as they held off Cincinnati by 4. Good night and tournament overall so far. Got the upsets in the first two days but the favorites and bigger boys came roaring back on the weekend to go 15-1 SU and 11-5 ATS.

Seton Hall - 190 on the ML at open to beat UNLV is very reasonable and if UNLV can come east and win again? OK. UCONN is akin to the big Red Army Russian National hockey team circa 1980's into the 90's. A machine. Just rolling up wins at 8-0 the last two seasons in the tourney and the games aren't close. They have the best team and are the only team with no weakness. They can beaten as there are a few that can give them some issues, and they have suffered some losses, but they would probably have to have a bad night to go down or at least a very below average game. San Diego State isn't one of those teams most likely. UCONN is a bit better this year than last when they won the Natty over this SDSU squad last year in the final. Game opened at 9.5 which is stayed at for a few seconds and I got at 10. 11.5 now and maybe heading up a bit more? SDSU is traveling East to Boston after a tough game and isn't as equipped to deal with this UCONN team. if the Huskies don't cover this it will be by a point or two at most it seems.

Interesting hire a while back by Westy Central who has fallen back to below the pack actually after a nice run for some years after the 'House that Jared Drake built Magistro era. They will be on their third coach in 5 seasons. Morrison did a nice job until 2021 when the program fell off big. It hasn't been as bad as that 2021 season the last two after Morrison stepped down. Morrison's timing to step down wasn't surprising. It was said he wasn't going to be coaching at all because of family health issues and it had zero to do with the fact that maybe the program was going into a down cycle and the getting wasn't going to be as good going forward. Yes, the HC's time commitment may be more than the other coaches, but Morrison took a coordinators job the very next season at Liberty. So maybe there was more to it. How many times do we see it's a family decision and time with the family and then the coach or AD just takes another job the next year? Morrison's last year was brutal. 2-8 with one cancelled game [COVID} that would have been a very likely loss to the Ibbies of Westy South. They beat a 3-8 Westy North team by a TD and a 2 win Westland team by 21. They lost 5 games by 30 plus points and only had one close loss a 6 point decision to a 2-9 Grove City club. Enter Ed Miley who was the DC at Liberty and he leaves after two seasons and a 7-16 mark citing that it's too tough to do the job right if you are not a teacher in the building. Miley still taught in the Olentangy district.

WC hires Josh Franke who has a Stokes type resume as he became a HC at a very tender age [23-24 ? at a school in VA} and coached at Edgewood and Newton Falls in Ohio for a bit before taking over his Alam Mater Toronto which is D-7 and took them to their first league title in 25 years. He is 36 years old. He doesn't have the Stokes level of success in terms of wins and titles but the parallels of the experience at a young age , coaching at his Alma Mater, and coming to the OCC from a D-7 school at a similar age that Stokes came to Coffman Road is interesting. Stokes did a great job at Minster obviously and is well thought of there but he did come into a successful program. Franke came to a program that didn';t have that same level of success. Hopefully it works out for him and the program. They have some talent there and some solid football demo's. Hopefully even if there is some tough sledding for a bit he stays for a longer while because a lack of coaching continuity is a good recipe for mediocrity or worse.

Baseball opening day and the first 4 games of the sweet 16 is a great sports day/night. Seton Hall blowout of UNLV keeps the tourney ball rolling downhill. UCONN the machine-like favorite opens the action, and it should be tough sledding or as James Patrick Tressel might say 'tough duty" for the SDSU Aztecs tonight in Boston. Might not be a Boston Massacre situation, but the Huskies appear to be on a mission and should control the game and win comfortably. Laying 10 was a decent value early as it's up to 11.5- 12. Double digit favorites are in a nice roll at 14-3. Made the line 12.

North Carolina opened at - 3.5 and that lasted about as long as a really good glass of Chocolate milk. Got when it was at -4 [ML at - 185} and this isn't the typical Tar Heels squad as they actually have a top 10 defense and can guard the three pointer pretty well and that is exactly what Bama wants to do early and often. They jack the ball up fast and furiously at times and this UNC team can also score the ball and is experienced enough to be a bit more disciplined and their defense is much more solid than the Tide's. Alabama when facing a team from a major conference and in the top 40 in offensive efficiency they are 3-11 straight up and ATS. UNC should live to fight again.

Clemson is a good team and might have benefitted from the early exit from the ACC tourney [Lost to BC} and is playing with confidence. Beat a decent New Mexico team and a good Baylor team as a 4.5 Dog. Clemson is a good dog this season at 8-1 ATS and 6-3 straight up. Beat Alabama away from home by 8 as a 8 point dog. Beat UNC in Chapel Hill by 6 as a 6.5 dog and lost to Duke by a single point catching 7.5 at Cameron. Arizona has an advantage playing in Los Angeles and will take over the building but they are erratic and can play some clunkers. If they are on their game and Clemson is meh? It could get ugly but the evidence shows at this price range against this class the Tigers can and usually have hung in there well if not won the ballgame. A really nice 8 game ledger today and tomorrow .

Painter and Barnes are obviously under pressure with their tourney records and today both are favorites with expectations to advance further . Purdue at 4 wasn’t bad but it’s a bit higher now . Marquette is better than NC State and the PG should go over 7.5 assists and they should win as should Purdue but is also a bit higher at 5.5. ML parlay with these two and Tennessee to win a close one being the tougher more physical team. Gonzaga slowing it down a bit banging Eddy keeping him at less than 26 might be worth a look with Purdue shooting the three well enough (. As good as anyone in the country ) to get the W . Duke getting 4.5 in what should be a very interesting competitive game

UCONN has lost some games this year, looking at them now it's almost inconceivable that they could have not only lost some ballgames at all but get humbled beaten up and had their lunch money stolen by Creighton in Omaha by 19 and handled by 15 in New Jersey by Seton Hall, a team that didn't even make it into the Tourney. They also lost by 4 at Kansas. Peaking late? Wel not really seeing as they got a good game from Providence late in the year, they pushed out at the end to get a late cover, and on March15th they barely got by St Johns another team that wasn't included to play in the Dance. Yesterday they won and covered again for us as I had this one at no closer than 12, in other words it would have taken me about + 13.5-14 to even consider taking the Illini.

It closed at 8.5 and for a bit not unlike the SDSU game it was an actual fight. 23-23 later in the first half with Illinois not looking out of place. A late 5-point lead and a bad last Illini possession in the first half kept it at 5 as they went to the Lockeroom's. A 5-point late 1st half burst became a surreal 30-0 burst that occurred, not against a Longwood, or a Wagner who may not have the guys to deal with such focused ferocity in terms of getting a good look or the ability to get a good shot off and just quiet if not for a few seconds the relentless Huskies. This was freaking Illinois, a Bonafide bucket of a team, wo was explosive, and possessing NBA level ballers with proven ability to score the ball against very good athletes.

Mercy. UCONN is the one team without a real weakness or even a minor disability really and if the Red Army Russian National hockey team the Big Red Machine of the 80's and early 90's of the being 'Housed" in Army barracks 10 months a year training 3 times a day had played hoops? This is how they would go about it. They are coached hard, well and play with not only intense desire and intensity but with a controlled efficiency that is difficult to play against and tough to prepare for. Of the bracket I am still alive in to make some dough in out of three, I have the Huskies winning over Purdue. Had the Huskies winning in two of them. Duke going to the final four as well. If Purdue and Duke lose, that entry is toast.

UCONN was a nice easy winner shortly after the second half started but wasn't so fortunate with Clemson getting 3.5 vs. Alabama who is making their first final four appearance. Been a really good last month overall, and the tourney has been good, but Bama held in well with a 5-7 -9-point edges down the stretch settling at 7. Had a Peanut on the OVER which got there by a handful.

Coaches will often say the toughest game to win and get by in is the elite 8 level because of the enormity of getting to a promised land of sorts in CBB which is of course the final four. To most of even the most rabid fan bases and coaches' expectations, getting to the final four cannot be called a disappointing season for just about everyone. Purdue on the ML at - 160 was good value IMO and I think as tough as Tennessee was on defense in the second half as we thought they may be, Creighton isn't put together like Purdue obviously. The Big guy should get his today[ 22 point total prop}} as UT hasn't a good answer individually and the way Purdue is shooting the ball and playing with confidence , should make them pay if they use too much of their resources on limiting the Big fella.

The numbers are so sharp with so few games left the value is measured in tiny, microscopic grains most of the time. NC State is the only real feel good underdog story left in the tourney the last week. 5 in a row in a week's time to sneak into the dance, and then 3 wins in a row and on a momentous 7-0 straight up as a dog run. 9-3-1 ATS last 13 as a dog. Gets to 7.5 and the Wolfpack seem like a good value at this point. Some tweaks to the lineup and some guys playing more than they did in the first 60-70 percent of the season has made this a different animal for teams to deal with and the results and confidence gained is beyond impressive. Will the clock strike midnight? It didn't in 83 a season that culminated in the Wolfpack taking down a Houston team with many Pro's and a couple NBA hall of famers with the late Jimmy V running around looking for someone to hug. This team brings up that 83 run often and is dedicating this run to that special team. Sometimes there is just something in the air. Duke is better and this run has to end sometime you would think , but hopefully it's a run comes to a close with a loss of 7 or less points.

Congrats to Purdue for getting the monkey off Painters back and punching their ticket to Arizona. Eddy easily over his 22.5 point total and his combined points rebounds mark. Purdue on the ML and whoever played it -3-3.5 cashed . Impressive win especially with Smith having an off day , the three not falling and free throws as well . No answer for Eddy who came up big

Who is "Eddy"?

NC State ended the regular season on a 4-10 surge . 5 wins in Washington in the ACC tourney and and 4 more to get to the final four ? Most losses by a final four team ever. 14 loss team with a coach who started cleaning out his desk and dusting off his resume to the final four ? Huge obstacle awaits them on Saturday though . F bomb dropping angry Zaq Edie . I am sure PJ. “ the blindside “. Burnz will be up to the task battling Zaq.

You're not fooling anyone Mr. Crane with these intentional misspellings in an attempt to cover up your first and second misspelling of Edey's name.

Poor effort.

Been hearing and reading good things about former Rock D-Lineman Will Smith in his second spring at Ohio State . Coaching. Staff taking note of his growth and improved play so far . Won’t start but will push to get out on the field this year . Great kid and hard worker. .

USC. WR and great kick returner Zachariah Branch is entering the portal with three years of eligibility left . Branch who is thought of as maybe the most dangerous kick returner in the country is considering Oregon Georgia and Ohio State. Needless to say this would be a big get fir the “. Bucs”.
