#1 Cincinnati Moeller (29-3) vs #6 Walsh Jesuit (26-3-1)

AND

#28 Olentangy Orange (21-10) vs #10 Anthony Wayne (20-3-2)

Should be 2 good games on Thursday. Moeller/Walsh is at 10 am and Orange/Wayne is scheduled for 1 pm

I believe that the morning game winner will be heavily favored to win it all. Both teams are very deep in pitching with starters and relievers that rarely have a bad outing. When you get to this point it usually is due to consistent if not dominant pitching. Both teams can hit and I know Moeller likes to run and run often. This appears to be an even matchup with one or two miscues possibly being the deciding factor. GBM 💪 ⚾

While I agree with this, you just never know in HS baseball.
Whatever happens, Walsh’s Pitchers better be ready to be tainted by the classless Moeller team. Expect to hear sperg like screaming of “No!No!No!” after every called ball or screeching every time the Pitcher is in his wind up. It’s a shame it won’t be on tv, the whole state should see what a low class operation they run.

While I do think the winner of the first game will be state champs, I’d like to see the underdogs win it all. Anything can happen

The 1st game is the defacto state title.
Earlier in the year Olentangy Orange played at Moeller and Moeller led by just two runs going into the bottom of the sixth when they extended the lead to six runs, Orange at that time was down a couple of starters including their co ace pitcher who I believe are both healthy now. Orange was preseason ranked in the top two or three so a Orange at nearly full strength would not be a sure win from anyone.

I don't think you'll ever see a high school baseball game with more D1 talent than Walsh vs Moeller.
Moeller's entire starting 9 is committed to play college baseball. 8 are D1 commits and 1 is to a D2 school. 8 are seniors.
Walsh's entire starting 10 are seniors (their starting pitcher doesn't bat) with 8 committed to play college baseball next season, 5 at the D1 level.

Walsh has outscored the opposition 40-0 in the playoffs, giving up only 5 hits with 2 no hitters and 1 perfect game. Ironically 1 player from Wadsworth had 3 of the hits. The Warriors will likely go with Senior Ryan Piech, who has been phenomenal during the playoffs going 18 innings in 3 starts with 0 runs, 5 hits, and 29 strikeouts. Drew Erdmann is the #2 starter and he arguably has been more impressive going 10 innings in 2 starts, giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and 14 strikeouts.

Both teams have been playing very well recently and I hate to say it but this is a toss up.

You gotta be talking about Omar the Dbag!! He not a credible poster. Didn’t play any Sports in HS. Finally moved out of Moms basement. He more interested in Elder Football prospects than women. I could go on all night! Omar the Dbag definitely the top Clown on here involving Sports conversations.

OhioRiverBoi is a close second.

not supporting Omar here and have not seen Moeller at all but must say i am not a big fan of the "coordinated" dugout comments (chants, catcalls?) i hear at games these days. It just seems annoying and unnecessary to me. and yes, i am old but do not consider myself "old school".

The rankings in the OP are from the Coaches Poll.
Here’s the rankings of the Final Four according to Ohio Prep Baseball Report:
#1 Moeller
#4 Walsh Jesuit
#5 Anthony Wayne
#25 Olentangy Orange

I haven’t been to a High school baseball game since 2015 but if teams are doing chants in the dugouts in the state playoffs then…hmmm, sounds bush.

It's not the reason Elder lost. Let it go. The top of Moeller's lineup killed Elder. Elder also didn't capitalize with a runner on 3rd with no outs. They knock that runner in, it's tied at minimum. Moeller was the better team.

I never said it was. I do find it ironic you think that’s ok but got butthurt a few yrs ago when the X RB said they were better conditioned than Elder. And that’s was verifiably true.

Imagine after every called ball, you have the entire bench screeching “No!No!No!” like a bunch of autists. Moeller was better than Elder, I’m not saying that’s why they won, but their behavior is pretty classless.

Curious if it’s that annoying can the Umpire give a bench warning and eventually eject someone? This obviously wouldn’t flyin the major leagues. It is against the rules but no one bothers to enforce it?

I would assume the ump would get involved if the chants were an attempt to rattle a pitcher during his delivery, or questioning an umps call. Ive been to many HS baseball games and never saw this type of stuff (consistent chants)...but Im sure it happens.

Yes the ump can do that. Put a stop to that crap immediately

He did warn them at one point. It didn’t stop completely but it cooled down a bit.

I had two former major league players as coaches in college. They were 100% old school. We had a sign to hit a guy. Always was the loudest cheerleader. Second time through the league the talk was at a minimum and got back to playing baseball.

Hard to do something like that at this stage in the tournament when a baserunner can cost you the game.

Not a fan of doing the talking, but always loved playing in a hostile environment. Gave me a better focus- wanting to shut them up.
