Interesting region this year. I would think Columbus Grove, LCC, and Pandora-Gilboa would be the top teams in this region this year. Sleeper? McComb maybe. Thoughts?
I say their QB room is fine, and if anything the Freshman Kirkendall will push for the starting spot.Columbus Grove, big gap then LCC and then everyone else. Leipsic is my sleeper for this season. New QB but all 5 OL back and some skill position players.
I could be wrong but I don't think Foster played footballNot football related, but saw LCC is losing a basketball player to Lima Senior. Do not know if it is an isolated incident or a trend:

Per the family’s social media, Willie Foster has announced that he is transferring to Lima Senior for the 2024-25 school year.Foster helped lead the T-Birds to State last year, averaging 11.2 points per game as a sophomore.
I think that started when Senior hired Coach Q.That's why I said "not football related".
Just wondering if a trend from LCC to Lima Senior has begun.
Lima Senior hired Mike Fell for football and Simpson for basketball within 2 years of each other, and suddenly they had studs all over the place in both sports. Football started to trend back the other way when Fell left. I thought that LCC would start gaining/stop losing basketball players when Powell got hired but maybe notI think that started when Senior hired Coach Q.
He's (Powell) out there trying.Lima Senior hired Mike Fell for football and Simpson for basketball within 2 years of each other, and suddenly they had studs all over the place in both sports. And exactly the reason they got kicked out of the NWC originally...The "fluid" nature of enrollment in Lima was a main reason LCC was always denied entry into the MAC.
Isn't LCC on like a 2 year contract with the NWC when they rejoin? And exactly the reason they got kicked out of the NWC originally...
I think it's something like 4 years. The old NWC schools didn't want to lock into a long term contract because of the history with them. A lot can change in 4 years too - my hope is that maybe St. John's will be more willing to move at that time and maybe bring 1 other team with them, or if everyone is still happy then just keep LCC.Isn't LCC on like a 2 year contract with the NWC when they rejoin?

, seem to remember getting lectures last year when mentioning incoming freshmen contributing.....I do agree Grove will be favorite, but some big holes to fill on the O and D line, had a couple of huge bodies and the two state wrestlers to replace. Mayes is the real deal but he can't block and tackle everyone. No doubt Grove is the favorite at the present time their skilled positions are rock solid from top to bottom and might have one of the best freshmen in the state. The line is anchored by three year starter Kylan Mayes who should be all state this year Their schedule is loaded so they will need to be ready every week
I don't think Grove is going to rely on a freshman this year. He'll get some touches but he'll have to wait his turn until Barraza graduates. The step up from JH to Varsity is a really big step., seem to remember getting lectures last year when mentioning incoming freshmen contributing.....I do agree Grove will be favorite, but some big holes to fill on the O and D line, had a couple of huge bodies and the two state wrestlers to replace. What day is this?Leipsic has shuffled their scrimmages as well. They head to Bellefountaine which includes Celina and AE. Second scrimmage vs. Wayne Trace
He's probably not playing RB this year, maybe after this year. Barazza is the man at RB. But the Athletic ability, speed and toughness of the younger Baxter boy could easily be used at WR where they have to replace 2 of their 3 receivers. Wouldn't be surprised if his brother plays a lot at WR to. Their both great athletes. Wait and see. Toughness? I don't doubt the athletic ability or the speed, but he hasn't done anything to show his toughness yet. He's probably not playing RB this year, maybe after this year. There all important. Line being the most.Toughness? I don't doubt the athletic ability or the speed, but he hasn't done anything to show his toughness yet.
I'm more concenered about finding 3 lineman who can block than worrying about a freshman who has potential.
Im pretty sure both Leipsic scrimmages are Friday evening. What day is this?
