Ok, you saved me a bit of typing there. Yes, I could see seeding being as you laid it out. Always like to see those low seed MAC schools make some noise. Not a ranking on best teams…. More so how I think the playoffs will shape up

Riverside lost a bunch after last year. I’d expect them lower than 3rd. New Bremen and St Henry will be higher than that.Any predictions on the field of 16. This is mine

I saw Loramie out there practicing already. When do they start camp up? Do they have a mandatory shutdown?I believe it will be Minster and Marion Local!
Then everyone else
you have so many camp days that you can use......i think teams are shutdown the week of the 4th of July and then a week before 2- a days starrtI saw Loramie out there practicing already. When do they start camp up? Do they have a mandatory shutdown?
Not in Bremen anymore, but people are not that high in the community on them this upcoming season. 3-7 or 4-6 are the rumblings I’m hearingRiverside lost a bunch after last year. I’d expect them lower than 3rd. New Bremen and St Henry will be higher than that.

After watching Ansonia play MSML in the playoffs, I could understand how they nearly beat the Homan led New Bremen team the prior year. Ansonia is good at what they do, playing keep away. They took up almost the entire first quarter against MSML, but once the Flyers make adjustments and get your running game locked down, it's a wrap. You have to be able to pass, unless you are 2015 or 2018 Kirtland.it will be interesting to see how Ansonia goes about it. The Tigers will be incredibly young outside the Oline. Even at that their Oline doesn’t have a ton of varsity action besides their center. They surely don’t have Weiss or Stammen in the backfield but they have a couple guys that run hard.
And even then, most of that was because the Flyers couldn't score points like they did against other opponents. That Kirtland D was stingy, stingy, stingy. After watching Ansonia play MSML in the playoffs, I could understand how they nearly beat the Homan led New Bremen team the prior year. That's true. The takeaway is you just have to be excellent at what you do. You don't NEED to pass the ball. It takes excellence. And even then, most of that was because the Flyers couldn't score points like they did against other opponents. That Kirtland D was stingy, stingy, stingy.
The main difference I think between what Kirtland and Ansonia were able to do is all in the personnel they employ. Kirtland has a reputation for larger offensive lineman and can often just impose their will on teams. The years that Kirtland have been able to beat the Flyers they had the larger trenches and even then struggled to beat ML because ML is the only team in the lower divisions that have linebackers with the stones and football smarts to stick their noses in the pile exactly where they need to. The year the Flyers had the exact same size in the trenches the Flyers blew them out. That's true. The takeaway is you just have to be excellent at what you do. You don't NEED to pass the ball. And that was the crazy covid year, so that doesn't count. Flyers' last real loss was October 2019 to Minster. lol Just kidding. New Bremen had a great team in 2020 and they earned it.The main difference I think between what Kirtland and Ansonia were able to do is all in the personnel they employ. Ansonia used team speed that the Flyers didn't see the first 2 weeks of the tournament to catch them slightly off guard and laid one haymaker but couldn't land a significant blow once the Flyers dug their heals in. If you're going to beat the Flyers running the ball you need the horses to get 3 yards a carry every down because the front 7 is just too good at getting in the backfield.
So you're correct, if you want out of R28, you have to be able to run and throw and in New Bremens case, block a punt.
I hope this is sarcasm... if not they're in D4Is Cleveland Glenville in this region?
Not saying anything at all about A Town getting out of R28. MSML will once again come out and thump whoever to their 1000th state title. After watching Ansonia play MSML in the playoffs, I could understand how they nearly beat the Homan led New Bremen team the prior year. I agree about the Ansonia D. Ansonia in general was better than I expected, and like I said it was easy to see how they came close to knocking off New Bremen in 2022. Having said that, it is often a game of emotion/momentum. On the opening drive, the Marion D appeared to have forced a three and out around the 25 yard line. Marion blocked the punt, and an Ansonia player picked it up and advanced it for a first down. Instead of ML getting the ball with 10 minutes left in quarter 1, possibly in Ansonia territory, you get a huge momentum shift and next thing you know the ML O doesn't see the ball for the first time until there's a minute left in the quarter. Perhaps the Flyers blow the game open a little earlier if that 4th down punt had bounced differently, but that's conjecture. Bottom line, Ansonia was a very good team, and their style could have given Minster or Dalton some problems as they did against that Homan led Bremen team in 2022.Not saying anything at all about A Town getting out of R28. Ansonia’s defense ambushed MSML. But with all of those guys playing both ways, MSML just wore them down and broke it wide open in the 3rd. Injuries certainly didn’t help either not that it would have made a difference in the W/L column
I tend to agree. Most likely Marion Local in Tier #1. Minster in Tier #2. Fort Loramie, Ansonia, Tri-Village, and possibly New Bremen in that Tier #3. At least I'll say that to start the season.I think Minster is a clear #2. They have the athletes to make it interesting if they stay healthy, but can their lines hold up?
Loramie will surprise some people this year. Hearing they have some extreme talent on the offensive side from some high school buddies.I tend to agree. Most likely Marion Local in Tier #1.
