D2 state duals final eight - 2/10 at New Lexington - discussion

What the seeds will look like (my opinion only):
-the obvious: Graham and Buckeye will be 1 and 2 in some order, Buckeye won the duals last year but Graham won the individual side decisively with Buckeye not even really in the hunt for the second trophy. I think Watterson should end up the 3 seed
-in terms of the rest of the field, for me Wauseon and Napoleon would be the 4/5 matchup. Napoleon is underestimated by some because they don't have prototypical roster talent of a team that covers lineup well enough to win the Defiance Tri-State and be competitive in the standings behind Perrysburg at the PIT.
 
 
A few questions on line-ups, for anyone in the know...

Graham - will they have anyone to fill 150/157? they forfeited both weights last weekend.
Buckeye - Is Liam Neitenbach (175) out? King and Badiu bumped up to fill the void at 175.
Watterson - is CJ Youell (175) out? Kryzewski filled in.
Napoleon - missing Cole Cereghin (106) and Devon Hull (157). Anyone know if they'll be back?
Steubenville - is Dorian Haddad (126) out?

Know one wants to say....strategizing...You know because coaches are in the minds of the wrestlers and know exactly who is gonna show up on match day

Youell is out until Sectionals. Kryzewski will fill in until then.
 

Buckeye gets the one over Graham. Especially if Graham is not covering 150 and 157 (157 projected to be state runner-up Jacks), that's the correct call. Could Graham lose the semi w/o 150 and 157 coverage, presumably to Watterson?

Maybe a little disrespect shown Napoleon's way? However, Napoleon will get their chance in consolation match(es) to show if they deserved a higher seed.

Huge disrespect shown Napoleon's way. They are a legit team that should have been ranked higher.

There are some great individual matchups slated here. I’ll be curious to see how the coaches adjust / bump weights with some of the weights not being covered.
 
I have Napoleon upsetting Graham round 1, defeating Watterson in the semifinals before running out of magic in the finals against Buckeye.

Think Napolean has a better shot at Graham than Watterson, to many holes for them. If Graham has Mockbee and Jacks back in there at 150/157 they win it imo. If they don’t, things get super interesting right away, does Graham really have nobody to fill in at those 2 weights even with bumping up? Can Stull make 157 I wonder?

The question now is… is Jacks able to go for the state series? That would really suck for him and any senior. But if he’s out then Graham loses a bunch of points and the small margin that they had over the field, just imo, is dwindled considerably if not gone completely.
