#2 on Wisconsin's depth chart behind RS Freshman Graham Mertz. In a year where players testing positive for COVID requires 21 days quarantining in the Big 10, it's a real possibility to see him in some real game action this year.

*Should be noted incumbent starter Jack Coan is out indefinitely after having surgery on his foot ~2 weeks ago.

Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz, who had a record-setting first career start on Friday, tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, according to multiple reports, and will take a PCR test to confirm the result.

Well, looks like Chase may be getting the time as you predicted. 21 day minimum if Mertz is positive.
 
If his second test is positive, which I haven't seen yet, it will be wild to see 2 former St. X, 1 former Elder and 1 former NKY Ryle QBs all starting for Big 10 teams. Quite the accomplishment for the Greater Cincinnati area.
 
There is no question that Graham Mertz is the future of the program regardless of how Chase does. Heck it will be hard to beat Mertz's first game of 20-21 248 yards and 5 TD's. But if Chase plays well it will probably generate interest from other schools. I wonder if he considers transferring?
