They look at Trump as a vampire and they put a stake in his heart but they're afraid that that stake could come out any time. That he's undying and they're afraid of him. They are terrified of him.

They are terrified of him because they think he's smarter this time and he has just cause to really get angry because of what they did to him. They can write all of The Atlantic Monthly and New Yorker clever, glib little essays about "Donald Trump is a threat to democracy," and their little Molly Ball in Time Magazine essays how clever and brilliant they were with their cabals and conspiracies to get rid of him.

But deep down inside they know that if the right ever did that to Barack Obama or Joe Biden, they could have really made something out of the fact that Barack Obama had a hot mic expose where he told the president of Russia, "You tell Vladimir that I will be flexible on missile defense." That's the security of the United States of America. "If he gives me space in my last election." Putin did do that. That's an impeachable offense if a phone call to Ukraine is. So they understand that, the right could have done that to them, and they understand now the right probably will do that to them for their own survival, and they are scared.

Someone (more like a massive bloc of Americans) is going to be really shocked and disappointed on Nov 6, 2024.

I don't know which group that's going to be. Lol.

I have been of the mind that Bad Orange Man can't win. But maybe these polls are accurate and are telling us that Biden is so bad, the mushy voters are willing to hold their nose and vote for BOM. I can understand that - Biden is historically bad in so many ways. But I still believe in Trump's ability to fiercely alienate a lot of people.

Perhaps it isn't anymore complicated than this - that in 2023 they are paying way more at the pump, grocery check out, utilities, interest, etc., than they were in 2019.

I laugh at these Dems spinning inflation: "It's coming down! What we are doing is working!" The problem is that if 10 lbs of hamburger cost you $30, went up to $80 but is now only $65 - that doesn't help the person with a thin-margin budget with the problem of the extra $35 they have to pay every time they buy hamburger. Telling them that they should be happy they don't have to pay $50 more, only $35 isn't a winning message. This is the reality that the Dems are going to have to confront with voters - and it is daunting when hundreds and thousands of item price increases are in the dynamic.

2019 is not so far in the past that voters have forgotten what it was like then and can't compare it to now. But yeah, tout that Inflation Reduction Act as one of Brandon's great legislative successes. As people freeze and starve this winter, comfort them with the fact that they are helping you save the Earth from climate disaster. Lol.

Nobody is spinning inflation. They are simply stating facts.

It is true. Slashing US energy production and tossing 2.3T into the economy when nobody could spend it was very inflationary.

Clearly, the optics are not on Babble's side:

1. Home prices are at their highest ever with no sign of ever returning to normalcy.
2. Mortgage rates are 4 times higher than when DJT was in office. They also show no signs of returning to their previous rates.
3. Food and energy inflation hit everyday Americans daily. If Trump has a keen staff, they'll be reminding everyone of this fact. A colder-than-normal Winter will reinforce very high home heating costs.
4. Americans were not at war with anyone after wiping ISIS out. The optics of today show Babbles to be a war monger...and Xi is frothing at the mouth to get Taiwan back.
5. Battery-Engine-Vehicles are extremely expensive and have priced themselves out of the majority of the population. Babbles is forcing people into vehicles they can't afford.
6. Fentanyl deaths have risen exponentially. So has border-crossings. Tying these two optics together is as easy as 1-2-3.

There are others, but I'm tired of typing. Babbles' team cannot win the perception vs. reality angles. If Trump's as smart as he says he is, he needs to reinforce these perceptions at every turn.

Which is great for home owners.
2. Mortgage rates are 4 times higher than when DJT was in office. They also show no signs of returning to their previous rates.
So are savings rates which is great for savers.

Trump has to be careful how much he talks about inflation since his actions played as big a role am anybody you want to play the blame game with.

Biden is no war monger. He is working through our allies to show peace through strength.
5. Battery-Engine-Vehicles are extremely expensive and have priced themselves out of the majority of the population. Babbles is forcing people into vehicles they can't afford.
Biden has not forced a single person to buy an EV. EV sales will grow at 50% this year and hybrid vehicles are selling like hot cakes.

The overwhelming amount of fentanyl is carried across the border by Americans thru ports of entry. This is a proven fact.

Don't worry. The far right propaganda machine is doing just as you say. Your problem is that Trump is a terrible messenger.

Fat chance....

None of those are optics.

Optics is about perception, which may or may not be reality e.g., the vitriol directed at Trump.

If you read what the Leftists post on here, their version of reality is that inflation is cured, the housing industry is healthy, BEV cars are affordable and necessary and Babbles’ border policy is the same as Trump’s.

Their vision of reality does not line up with the optics I’ve already stated. They will word-parse them into their truth whereas Trump owns the optics of what’s real to everyday Americans. Trump has the winning hand when it comes to what people are seeing and feeling, regardless of whatever eye of the needle gyrations the Left puts up.

More lies. Inflation is not cured. The rate is quickly moderating back towards acceptable rates. The housing market is healthy depending on what you are measuring. Interest rates are a tool to combat inflation. Did you blame Reagan for high interest rates? Nobody said EV’s are a requierement. Many EV’s are affordable. Don’t buy one if you don’t want. The border policy is similar. The only material change is that Biden allows asylum seekers to remain in the US while they await their case vs sit in Mexico. There has been no change to asylum law or border patrol. We have about the same number of agents today as in 2019.

Await their cases? That could be years. Meanwhile where are they and what are they doing?
