I am curious to see. What team in your state has had a RICH past with ALOT of wins and titles and has completely fallen off the map in the last 10 years????

I know for Alabama it would have to be Robert E. Lee HS in Montgomery, AL.

in the 70s they were 64-29-2
in the 80s they were 77-37
in the 90s they were 92-36
since 2000 they have been 31-57

They actually haven't won a game since Oct 19th 2006.

Any other states have teams that have been letdowns like this?

My H.S. Fontana.

Maybe Central Bucks West (Philly suburbs).

I was in Philly in the 80s. They were awesome -- numerous USA Today national rankings, longest winning streak in the nation at one point in the late 80s, and so on.

They ran off another huge streak from 1997 to 2000.

Pennsylvania didn't start state playoffs until 1990 or so, by the way.

They've been ranked in the final USA Today poll eight times, with seven of those being in the top ten, and three of those being in the top five.

The last three years they are 7-23.

Kind of the same with Lee

They have 25 appearances in the state tournament, 8 state titles, 12 ten win seasons, 15 region titles, and I want to say 4 USA Today appearances (one of them being #2)

They are on a 14 game losing streak right now.

They have a coach now in Larry Ware that is a GREAT coach. He turned a winless Carver team into a serious playoff contender a few years ago. I really hope he can turn that team around. We shall see

Hoover and Prattville...

how have EITHER of those teams been a dissapointment over the last 10+ years???

If anything Prattville has gained, so has hoover.

Hoover was 134-87-2 throughout the 80's and 90's with one championship in 1982 and 7 losing seasons

Prattville was 126-85-2 with one championship in 1984 and 6 losing seasons.

Since 2000 Hoover is 107-15 with 7 appearances in the title game and 5 victories.

Since 2000 Prattville is 101-9 with 3 appearances in the title game and 2 victories.

What would cause you to believe Prattville OR Hoover has been a dissapointment?
