B10 Pre-Pre-Seeds

OK, these are not the pre-seeds. These are the pre-pre-seeds. The pre-seeds are decided by the coaches (I think on the Monday before the B10s). These are the Intermat rankings for the B10. They probably are pretty close to the pre-seeds, but out of conference wins and losses have no bearing in the B10 seeds, so there will be some cases where Intermat has a guy ranked higher than what their B10 seed might be. And the B10 seeds all 14 guys and I've only included the guys ranked by IM, so my weight classes won't go 14 deep in the seeds. And I converted these pre-pre-seeds to expected points (w/o bonus pts) to see what the team race might look like. I'll update these when the "official" pre-seeds come out, probably next Monday if I have time. I'll be knee-deep in the B10 Pick'Em by then, so who knows. I included the projected B10 seed followed by the IM rank.

And I'll try to bold OH HS guys and top seeds. Let me know if I miss any.

Drum roll, please...???

Gonna start preparing for the B1G pick'em with a 10 day "darkness retreat" on the peak of Mt. Everest.
Darkness retreats date back centuries to the monks and lamas in Tibet to the ancient Egyptians. Retreating to darkness is common for the ancient and contemporary spiritual traditions with participants spending time in deep meditation in the pitch dark in silence. No phones, music, books, TV. It's all about "sensory deprivation".

I like the pre-seeds but think Sammy gets the 1 seed since he is un-defeated and technically Gomez has one B10 L with MFF against Thomas.
I think you’re right. Probably some other examples out there as well. And I don’t think Gomez has wrestled in a month.

Don't forget the auahuasca.

Any chance of including the years of eligibility remaining? I swear some of the wrestlers listed as "Seniors" still have a year of eligibility left?...maybe I'm wrong though, I've honestly lost track of what is what when it comes to it.

I think wrestlestat is more accurate in listing them by the year that would reflect eligibility. In other words, they'll list a guy as a SR if he is in his last year of eligibility. I think Intermat (used above for rankings) are less accurate in this regard. But it would take too much time to crosscheck everybody listed above. And Intermat is more accurate than wrestlestat for ranking/projecting seeds, which is why I used it.

157 appears to be the most wide open weight class for Big Ten and NCAA in recent history. Gallagher at 12 seed almost took 1 seed

Robb into OT.
