Ther Eagles wrestling team pretty much locked up the #1 ranking by defeating #2 Blair Academy, NJ by the score of 29-27. 145 Danny Gonsor bumped up to 152 in the last match of the dual with the Eagles trailing by two and won 9-5 over Hogue of Blair who is from Twinsburg, Ohio. Hogue is the only Ohio wrestler on the Blair team from New Jersey. This was Blair's first defeat dating back to 2000 when the Eagles were the last team to defeat them.
The Eagles earlier in the season won the prestigous Walsh Iron Man Tournament with Blair Academy coming in 2nd in a star studded field. That was Blair's first tournament loss in a long, long time.
The Eagles also klnocked off #3 St.Paris Graham at the Elite 8 Duals at St.Edward in December and also defeated SPG in a rematch at Graham in late January.
