In my opinion folks overlook a big deal when it comes to HPS and the Cardinal - depth and community.
With BU, Fisher, Fairfield Christian and Rosecrans you have 15 to 20 boys and the same girls playing three sports a year. The kids know each other. Their siblings played another. It’s a rich...
The inconsistency and the lack of offense was not because teams are better. A decade with no middle school program, the enrollment cut in half and strings of shoddy administrations finally came around to hurt them. That’s it.
For the first time ever, Fisher wasn’t a good team. It happens! You...
Respectful disagree. Just because Fisher went 500 in league play doesn’t mean the league was good. Look at the postseason. It’s okay to admit they were down. It happens!
FC isn’t as deep as last year but the coaches do well in making adjustments and changes. Good staff in charge of a team with strengths that can snag big games when they get the wheels rolling. Slow start, young team. Who they are now isn’t indicative of who they will be in May.
Hard lesson for a young Eagle team that basketball games are 32 minutes long. They are talented and will only get better.
Someone else pointed out the wearing down. Correct. Fisher wore GCC physically and mentally down to a nub. They looked very frustrated throughout and had too many defensive...
Disagree. Playing larger schools has been FC’s roots the entire time. Older parents and alumni grew up with previous league schedules featuring the likes of FU, younger ones with LU, Heath and Newark Catholic. A 9 school Cardinal is bad for them.
The LCL should look at taking Fisher if they can’t get LU. If the small schools can get by with just adding one. There is no difference between either of them.
