    Ohio State 7 v 7 Camps

7 on 7 is teh dubm. Hartley has always played very well in them. Simple demographics, really. But what happens after that is all the dads of the speedy skill players scream "throw the ball" the rest of their kid's high school career before never going to another Hartley game again. Will be funny...

    2025 CCL thoughts?

Don't want to use the "R" word, but I think Hartley is going to benefit from two things. 1. Marion Franklin is doomed. The school board wants to close it. Football players will start to gravitate toward Hartley. And just show up. 2. If the offense changes from biddy ball to a balanced, throwing...

    D3 2025 early outlook.

Dick Geyer was Bishop Hartley thru and thru. He would still be head coach there if he chose. He didn't. He was nudged gently aside as nicely as possible. Burchfield was selected as the new coach before Dick was told that school leaders were scouting prospects. There was an objective judgment at...

Division 1 Who Will Win DI Region 2

Darby. Burchfield beats everyone with the 1950's hide 'em ball that will frustrate all opponents. So I'm hoping, anyhow. Got family on the team. Cool how the stars aligned to put Burchfield there. What's the over/under on number of signs of the cross per game?

    Broke Programs

Indeed. I would put them on the watch list too. Rich Jones leaving the building in 2017 had a big impact. Burchfield leaving could very well be the end. It is likely to impact enrollment in addition to football.

Lot of them no neck mouth breathing wrasslin thugs is just underdeveloped linebackers in disguise.

    Running List of Transfers

39 states and DC have legalized NIL for high school to varying degrees. This includes neighboring states Kentucky and Pennsylvania. It's just a matter of time before boosters (unaffiliated with any particular high school, wink wink) begin enticing Ohio kids to move for these deals. Ohio needs to...

    Running List of Transfers

It isn't anymore. It's about making it onto the payroll. NCAA is just NFL development league.

    Running List of Transfers

Wrong. The best way to get recruited is to win the evolution lottery. Colleges can mold any raw materials with the right metrics into prime talent. They could go to BFE high and the NIL collectives will hunt them down and do the rest. The old days are gone.

Brad Burchfield steps down as football coach at Columbus Bishop Hartley

That's probably an overstatement. Enjoy the title. I'd say no worse than the Hawks were behind Coldwater in 2013. Sometimes the other guy is just better. What matters is whether you've given and gotten the best out of yourself. Schedule Darby in 3 years and get back to us on what you think of...

Brad Burchfield steps down as football coach at Columbus Bishop Hartley

I don't think so. He was instrumental in OCAC deal, so losing a bunch of games isn't something that worried him. He liked to schedule up. Helps turn boys into men. STRS might have had an influence. He's at the age where he needs to start thinking of his own long game.

Brad Burchfield steps down as football coach at Columbus Bishop Hartley

I was talking about someone who coached defense, but not sure he was coordinator. I never get a roster, lol.

Buddy White was D-coordinator in 2010 state championship. Chuck Wooten the legend coached D for a few years. Brad coaches everyone and will weigh in with his opinion on defense in games, but he's always had coordinators. His heart is O-Line.

Yes. Catholics keep moving North. I'm not sure how long the school will survive. Longer than Ready but maybe by 10 years.

Brad Burchfield steps down as football coach at Columbus Bishop Hartley

And just that fast, I'm proven wrong. Frank DiRenna from the Dispatch says, "Hartley is seeking a varsity head football coach with a proven record of success as a head coach. The coach will oversee all phases of the program, have a strong desire to continue the traditions of the program at all...
