Here's a pretty good writeup on the upcoming season for Tipp - https://pressprosmagazine.com/2025/07/10/tipp-football-sees-the-signs-preps-for-another-big-season/ In short, things look really solid on paper. Just need to translate to postseason success.

    MVL 2024/2025

If you haven't learned by now, these people will come into MVL threads every year and use their tired arguments as to why they're mad Trotwood got left out in realignment. I don't know if we need to start ignoring them or what, because we've pretty clearly explained why they don't belong in the...

Kind of on topic to some other points made, but if you put Northmont in a division with Lima (?!?) and Trotwood, that would certainly help get them to the MVL, because those 2 schools make absolutely no sense being in the GWOC.

Welcome back! Glad to see you return, and not completely disappear like a few of the last Tipp posters after talking up the team all season.

I do not think any rational Tipp fan believes that they are going to contend for state titles year in and year out. Consistently winning in the playoffs with a chance at a longer run (like they have done) is the standard. Tipp isn't Ohio State and the like, which complain whenever they lose 1...

I literally already answered your question, but I guess you're ignoring it:

Stop being so hung up on the St Marys game this year. Tipp also beat Bellbrook, who's in the regional final. Like @BoomerSooner said, strawman. If you looked at the big picture of how Tipp is doing in the MVL compared to CBC, it's not even an argument, but you keep grasping at straws to try...

Yes. Tipp routinely made the playoffs, but consistently was outclassed and lost almost all of their first round games in the CBC days. Now, Tipp wins playoff games, and clearly goes toe to toe with many of the other contenders in the region. So again, can you explain to me how Tipp is behind...

Please define "behind the curve." If the standard is state championships then sure, but Tipp is definitively achieving much more in football now than they were in the CBC or GWOC days. I get the MVL haters are just out in full force, but some are just stating complete lies.

Unfortunately it seems like the OHSAA is moving in the other direction, as they added more divisions to other sports this year. That, along with the somewhat recent expansion to 16 teams per region in the playoffs for football, and the OHSAA seems more concerned about handing out more trophies...

I only listed all of that because you said Tipp had to play "perfect" to win, and that is wrong. I know that doesn't necessarily mean they played worse than their opponent, but being outgained or turning the ball over certainly means they didn't play perfect. It seems like from your reply you...

    2024 Miami Valley League

Tipp does not have to play perfect to win tough postseason games, and if you looked beyond everyone's harsh reactions to last week you'd see it clearly. For example... 2023 - Tipp was outgained by CJ by quite a wide margin and still won 2022 - Outgained again by both Western Brown and Badin (2...

    2024 Miami Valley League

Tipp lost in round 2 because they played a bad football game (and to give credit to St Marys they played a great game). Not because they didn't play a "better" team in week 2. Everyone knows Tipp was capable of beating St. Marys. Upsets happen, and unfortunately happened to Tipp this year...

I don't think it's a non issue completely. Of course it'd be nice to play better teams, and sure you can argue that it could better prepare teams for the postseason. I think the comment is to point out that the conference as a whole could be better, and have more teams capable of winning in...
