Small sampling, but Jason Trusnik (Nordonia/Ohio Northern/NFL) had a successful first year at Strongsville. Im hearing good things coming out of Strongsville.
Very cool memories. The hospital there is the only thing holding the city together I would imagine. I drove around the hospital neighborhood and there were some amazing mansions still there and occupied. The drugs were the final nail for this town I imagine. Saw a documentary on Portsmouth...
The last paragraph I totally agree with. I was driving down in that area a few years ago and went out of my way to check it out. Couldnt get in but saw through the fence. It must of been really cool back in the day. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds. Love to see that area rebound.
I would love to see this work out for the area. Any idea if they would be having their games in Spartan Stadium? Very cool old stadium (30s) that used to be the home stadium for the now Detroit Lions. Needs some remodeling the last time I saw it but it'd be a great atmosphere if supported.
