Coaching Changes

Shi@t show. Another year of Bad hires or good coaches getting canned from Terrible administration or school boards!

Lol. Just look around at all the firings the last 5-10 years. Enough said !
Majority of the firings in the Toledo area have been pretty warranted. When a coach sucks. Get them out. That simple. Especially if they aren’t really developing the kids off the court and building great relationships with them. A lot of those coaches who don’t build the relationships get fired quick. Rightfully so.

Who made all these Bad hires ? That’s my point. It goes on and on and on !

Man. Thats a good question. These basketball jobs are not just an AD decision most of the time. Lots of people are a part of that one.
Exactly and many of them have no clue and have coached very little. Speaking of some administrators and board members ! Not going to change at most places.

Every school hires the coach in a different way. Some ways are good, some ways are bad. Bad is normally too many people involved. Even if the hiring is done in a good way......it has always been hard to get a good coach. In this day and age it is harder to get a good veteran coach.

Findlay administration (and people on this board) have been wanting Rucki out for a handful of years now. It's sad that they finally pushed him to the limit and caused him to retire. You will quickly regret pushing him out. The guy won State Coach of the Year this season and people wanted him out!! 65 PPG and a winning season is better than 75 PPG and a losing season.

Coach Rucki did a tremendous job at Findlay, maximizing the talent that was there especially the past two seasons. Some have said he was always planning on staying with this class that had a great JV season and developed into a great varsity team, and then step down. Not certain that is true. No disrespect to the future but the next couple of years at a minimum will be really hard no matter who the coach is -- their top 6 or 7 players from this year's team are seniors, similar to the situation at Ottawa-Glandorf. Going .500 next year at Findlay totally unexpected.

It Never Ends. Hope these administrators or school boards are happy for pushing out good coaches or their Terrible hires. Hopefully they get some of these Right !

Logan is open after 1-2 years. Cambridge is open after 2-3 years. I’m sure many more are coming. SAD !

it would be fair to ask, in which schools on this list were good coaches fired or "pushed out"? How many decided not to coach anymore or left the district?
