Anyway the FBI/DOJ only wanted to check the passports out to see if Trump had attended that infamous meeting of evil leaders described in this historical record:

Who in the FBI said they did not have them? I never saw a public statement for the FBI on that subject until they said they were returned. Name exactly who denied having them.

So the FBI not only took declassified records, and records protected by attorney-client privilege, they grabbed a couple of expired passports and one current passport which they are now returning. Effing keystone cops comedy hour.
