Rather than vowing to make sure Sandy Hook wouldn't happen again....

To answer frecrisis, right wing terrorist attacks are every where. Start with Buffalo two weeks ago,Knoxville, Overland Park Jewish Center, Charleston Church, Pittsburgh Synagogue, El Paso shooting, Jan. 6th all come to mind moron.
Anti capitalist National Socialists are not right wing no matter how much you lie.

And left wing??????

Still calling the Buffalo attack “right wing” when the perp himself didn’t identify that way, it’s cool though, you guys see it your way, it fits a narrative.

Why can’t everyone at least support Red Flag laws. Texas does not have one, and neither does Ohio. They should be expanded from family members and the police to include medical doctors and school counselors. Guns are now the number one cause of death for children (under18) in the United States. More than automobile accidents.

Partially correct. Look these nut jobs love the attention. We have plastered this kid's photo and name all over the news the last couple of days. Of course he was bullied, and anyone that gets bullied now feels it ok to act out. We just can't get out of our own way. Let's stop worrying about how people "feel" all the time. Your a kid. Kids get teased, grow up. Stop shooting people. The more we talk about mental health, the nuttier we get.
I don’t have a problem not giving out the name on air, but the American people have a right to know when this happens.

Oh no, they want to take our guns away!!! (wait for it).

I’ve posted it before, and a couple posters who actually delved into it, PMed me to thank me.

Check out : https://www.thecoddling.com/

These guys have been blowing the whistle on our social issues for a while now. Book is good, website is fantastic. They update the website constantly with more facts and evidence-based opinions. The website delves deep into educational issues and social media issues.
Just ordered a copy

“And I might add: The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own. You couldn’t buy a cannon.” FJB, 5/25/22

Kind of pointless to have a national conversation about common sense gun control when the president is ignorant and his handlers don't care.

Will the left acknowledge that their liberal policies of the last 40 years have led us to this juncture? Mass shootings were never an issue despite the millions of guns floating around for a century or more.
Tulsa never happened?

Disheartening to learn that the officers on scene waited for nearly an hour for a SWAT team to arrive while there was a shooter in the school.
Those cops should be fired. Shouldn't be a cop if you are not willing to risk your life to save kids from being slaughtered. Just like you shouldn't join the military if you are not willing to go to war.

I was heartbroken while wondering if any of those children could have survived their wounds had they not been left there for so long.

I thought that modern police protocol calls for a continuous attack against an active shooter until he's neutralized. Evidently not so in that town.

You have no clue! This is a cultural issue as much as anything. The far left is doing all it can to ruin what made America great. Respect and honor are part of it and those two words are lost in today’s world. Respect of oneself as much as respect of one another.
If gun violence is a disease, then the etiology has to be understood and then the proper diagnosis arrived at; then the remedy can be applied.

The Left never gets the diagnosis correct, doesn't understand the etiology, and, therefore, never has the correct remedy. They diagnosis "diseases" through the prism of what serves their political agenda, and when you do that, you have zero chance of understanding anything properly.

Gun availability is a problem, but it is not THE problem - and its quite easily shown. If gun availability were the problem, then Amish Country would be the most likely place to get shot and killed in the country. But it is one of the least likely places for that to happen. So, that would lead rational people to consider other factors.

But they won't, because politics is their god, and events like this are nothing more than opportunities to advance their ideology and agenda. They say, "Screw your prayers. That won't do any good. What we need is gun control!" And there it is.

And to circle back to teachers being armed........if cops cannot do it right do we expect a teacher with minimal training and who hardly ever puts rounds down range to solve this?

I worked with a number of Europeans over the years. It absolutely blows their minds when they get over here just how poor the culture is. The one commented to me that we had wonderful nice things but everyone hated each other. He was also befuddled by the culture wars.

Another observation he made was that the less religious a society the more free and peaceful it seemed to be. Thought it had something to do with preachers firing people up and sending them on their way.
Have you been to Europe? It has magnificent history, but in the present is 2nd world in several ways compared to America and they are taxed higher and considerably less free. Stayed in a 4 star hotel in Central Europe. No air conditioning. Sweated my balls off for several days. Lol. And yes, they are largely godless. And no, not more peaceful or free.

And the second point is that we fought several wars to keep those arrogant people on their side of the pond, so I don't give a rats's hind parts what any European thinks.

I talked to a B Of E member of a southern Ohio school the other day. She said that they had an open meeting quite a few years ago where they discussed and then adopted a policy to train and arm teachers, administrators, and any other staff who was willing. She said that there were dozens of employees who had military or law enforcement backgrounds and they had more staff applying than they needed. They had to turn people away after taking the best candidates. She said they have at least 7 armed staff members in each school building and they have signs up stating that this is the case.

No shootings at that school. Hmmm.

Or your school could be like 99.9999999% of the schools in the country who haven't had a school shooting.

Our school has a sign with a large sword in it.
Maybe all schools should have a sword out front

A poorly trained teacher with a gun across the hall could have saved more lives than all those professional police holding back parents in the parking lot.
