West Virginia recruit Kobe Johnson totaled 16 points and four assists and fellow senior Amarion Herring blocked seven shots for the league-leading Bulldogs (9-3, 7-0), who were cruising to a victory before things became interesting late.

Leading by as many as 21 points in the third quarter and up 50-35 entering the fourth quarter, McKinley went cold — as in five-full-minutes-without-a-point cold.

Mckinley was my pic to win the league. I'm kinda surprised at GkenOaks record. I thought they would be a lot better by now. I think this is Hackenburgs 4th or 5th year.

The Polar Bears would take the lead for good at 55-53 on Kevin James' 3-point basket with 2:57 remaining. That was part of a 10-0 Jackson run that helped it take control of the game.James and Ben Sullivan each scored 14 points for the 14-1 Polar Bears, while Owen Woolbert added 13 points - all in the second half - and 13 rebounds. Amire Robinson scored a game-high 16 points for Copley, while Khoi Thurman added 15.
