This game is going to be a barnstormer of a game. The pass vs the run who stops who first. I watched St. Marys Friday night and their running game was very impressive between Mabry and Osbourne both will have over 1,000 yards by the end of the season and more. Their defense is good not great St Henry missed several big plays in the passing game and had one called back and number 12 from St Henry started to gash them for yards in the running game. Game was closer than score showed Henry went for on 4th down several times giving Riders great field position. I started to watch Wapak's game last night so Im not sure about a few things. Wapak has a stud in Moyer and Page and found a running back in Mullen who is a beast. Toledo was huge especially on both lines so saw alot of running plays blown up. Wapak has alot of kids playing both ways on the lines which against a St Marys running game is not good. Wapak has the edge in speed and athletes but do they have enough of them. Looking forward to seeing everyone's break down of this game. One last thing I do believe Wapak has a slight advantage in coaching with Moyer alot more experienced than Frye.

I was at Wapak’s game Friday… they’re going to have to find a way to run between the tackles if they’re going to be as successful as last year. Not saying Mullen can’t do it, but he’s not big enough to take that beating.

Moyer is improved and will likely be a 3-4 star prospect by the end of this year.

Defense is going to be fine, just need to get some experience.

What do you think their records will be going into the game?

Looking at their schedules, if the TEAMS are as foolishly, annoyingly arrogant as Wapak FANS are....then Wapak will be 2-1 and St. Marys 1-2.

Both SHOULD win this week, but both have very loveable games. St. Marys then plays the same team Wapak plays this next week....who btw beat both last year with a young team.

Only Wapak fans are arrogant enough to look ahead to week 4 in week 2, and I truly hope they're overlooking everyone on their schedule and manage to go 5-5. They won't, but it couldn't happen to a better fanbase.

Wapak also chose to play Marion while most other teams run from them and actually towards the end of the series showed they could play with a state winning Marion team. While Im sure all the nasayers teams would love to line up with Marion and show them how it's done I invite you but until you do keep your comments to yourself.

I thought the back 7 played well, but it felt like the D-line got pushed around a little bit, especially on short yardage. I haven’t watched the film so I’m not sure exactly what was going on, but they better shore that up before facing some of the run heavy WBL teams, this week included! I also don’t understand having a D1 tightend, who physically was a matchup nightmare for TSJ and they didn’t target him a single time? Moyer is a stud, but I’m not sure he can carry the offense if they don’t run between the rackets more effectively.

Nothing against Moyer a good HS QB but I doubt that.

I agree with that 100% but maybe concentrate on Defiance 1st who def., Wapak last year than start a thread about SM vs Wapak.

Im not looking past Defiance at all they beat us last year so its not a given. I very much agree Wapak always has big plans for Houser then never use him. They should have several plays to get him the ball every game if not keep him at Defensive end. The defense has talent and young in some positions I think by the end of the year they will be a good defense Truesdale is a good coach. Sorry to everyone who reads this and comments about what the thread was about instead of making smart comments.

I agree that a week 4 discussion thread is arrogant and misguided. There is not enough data yet, we have not learned enough about either team in order to have meaningful discussion. I also don't think beezer represents Wapak's actual football team in any way. Fans are not the same as coaches or players. I can't speak for the Wapak team, but I'd wager that Wapak is focused on the game in front of them and getting revenge on the Bulldogs. A lot of the top tier WBL teams have front loaded schedules; can't afford to look past any singular game.

Did I once in my thread say this was for the title NO! Someone asked my prediction what their records would be and I gave my opinion is this not what some of us do every week giving a prediction on what we think will happen. I respect Defiance a lot but the thread was about Wapak and st Mary's 2 teams with vastly different offenses. Do you guys get upset when ESPN has nfl game day on in the summer talking about football and games they are looking forward to. It was just a thread asking for opinions about the game that's all just a thread

You're asking for opinions and you got them. It seems that the consensus opinion at this time is that it's too early to be talking about this game. But have at it, beezer. (y)

Good lord. Grow a set.

Riders are halfway there, 2-0 so far

Trash talking and can't even correctly spell quiet. Jesus christ. You're proving dhsdogs06 point without even having the self awareness to realize it.

No one is doubting Wapak's on-field ability. Some people who have command of the English language though, doubt those who think the world revolves around Wapakoneta.
Hey yo it's the bad guy and yes I love my hometown don't tear both your quads typing nash

Thanks for the heads up Defiance came to play

Wapak will enter 3-0 while St. Marys 2-1

St Marys defense is most definitely suspect. Corners are 8 yards off the ball and still have receivers get behind them. If defiance QB was a bit more accurate st. Marys loses by 2 scores. Wapak blows out St.marys Friday and I'm from SM. If Colton Mabry is still out with a concussion it will be even more lopsided.

St. Marys has given up 34 points in three games and its defense is suspect?
Watch the St. Henry vs St. Marys game on you tube. SH missed on maybe 3 wide open TD passes and had a long TD pass called back. SM's pass defense is suspect plus SH ran for close to 200 yds on SM's. I believe Wapak's offense is as good as SH's if not better.
