Sylvania Northview Job Is Open

 
I have no insight but can guess..

Gene Rucker from Stritch. Was an assistant at Northview. 8-7 over past two seasons at Cardinal Stritch. Had the schools first winning season in at least 10 years this past season IIRC.

I do think this will draw a very wide ranging and probably pretty accomplished applicant pool. Any assistants on the AW staff that could make the jump like their HC did?
 
Heard a few names that could possibly be applying for the job Lindke from Central, McAfee from AW, Eberly from Woodward, two from Michigan, can't think of their names or programs right now of course.

Lindke if Im not mistaken is the "passing game coordinator"/qb coach at Central. Not sure what Centrals passing game has shown the last 5-10 (if hes been there that long, I dont know) years to justify him being a head coach but I dont know much or any of his story.
 
Lindke- "pass game coordinator", QB Coach currently, former wide receivers coach at AW and is in his late 20's early 30's
McAfee- position coach currently, former DC at AW, Bowsher and Oline coach at Springfield and is in his 40's
Eberly- HC at Woodward currently, former DC at Springfield, coached at AW, Start and Central and is in his 40's
 
This job was a lot more attractive before sylvania redistricting and the new NLL, now I’m not sure there is much potential. Good luck continuing to face Perrysburg and Anthony Wayne while adding Whitmer and Findlay every year.

I believe Lindke was at SFS for a couple of years with Chipka before taking over as OC at Central the last two years. He’s in his late 20’s.

I found out that he spent time at BG as well when Dino Babers and Mike Jinks were there. 2015 Mac champs

Luke is a good coach. Kids love playing for him. But if theyre going to hire someone with no head coach experience, Id assume it would be the coach that has worked under Dempsey, and knows the landscape a little more or the one from AW, as they have been on a tear the last 5 years. I could see Luke cutting his teeth at a smaller rural school as a HC first realistically.

I don’t know much about him. Heard his name from someone who used to have ties to Stritch. They told me they could see him applying, not sure how much his coaching style would mesh at a Sylvania school

Seeing that Genoa opened up, if he is looking at schools back up this way, that’s one he should have eyes on.
 
Last day to get in an application is tomorrow. Could hear of some interviews taking place sometime early next week.
