Medina Favored by 38

Thoughts?

Looks like it’s be a running clock by halftime. Potential Week 1 shutout for Medina.

Stow stinks and the weather will be ideal for the type of offense Medina runs. The only question here is how badly do they beat Stow. 38 pts is a lot though as I see Medina taking the foot off the gas and possibly working on different things (like their historically non-existent running game) or playing Juniors and Seniors that typically don't get in much or even Sophomores.

Not that they will be anywhere on Medina's level, but Stow's team this year is much improved vs. last year's. They don't have explosive playmakers, but their play on both lines was much improved in the scrimmage I saw and they gave a decent accounting of themselves. Medina may throw over top of them and get the running clock anyway, but rest of the season I would expect better things from Stow vs last year.

bold move to expect better things from stow when they lack explosive playmakers. From the clips I’ve seen, it’s going to be a long 10 weeks. Hopefully they can limit the halftime scuffles this season.

I mean I don't think it's a bold move at all I kind of think it's common sense just because you lack playmakers don't mean you're not able to make plays. If Stow can go in this game and control the clock because he clearly said they have a good OL as far as they're much more improved and keep the bees high powered offense off the field as much as possible they could definitely have a chance not saying they're going to win but they can put their self in position to make it a game.

They definitely have one, Daylon Keeling. He was it last year as a soph. Guess they have a good TE (a Junior) that is getting D-1 looks.

Not sure they have a RB or defense.

I was making the statement off of the scrimmage film that I watched. I didn’t see anything that looked promising, line play, skill players or coverages. But maybe he was working out his playbook during those scrimmages?

Ahhh got you yeah that definitely makes sense it's crazy because I remember Stow was solid a few years ago I wonder what happened

Stow is in D2 now, so Smoove will make the predictionation that they will NOT be making it into the playoffs at 1-9 this Fall. THAT had to be rough on the kids to have to stay out an extra week of practice and getting pounded by the #1 seed. At least they now have 26 or 27 teams in they regionation, it will be better for the worsestest of teams to be home gettin' on the hoop court after week 10. Smoove know Coventry gonna be home gettin' ready for wrastlin' and hoops. Smoove want to wish all the kids playin' sports rilly goot Luck this fall. Stay Healthy. y'all!

So like I was saying, Stow's team is better than last year's (which is admittedly a low bar). This game was a lot closer than the score indicated, and they should win more than 1 game this year.
