Roby has extensive experience at the international level, much gained during his five year marriage to former U.S. Women's National Team player and FIFA "Player of the Century" Michelle Akers. Together they traveled to many countries presenting clinics for coaches, players and working with Women's National Teams at the request of national federations.

Roby’s Quotes:

“I am happy to be coming back to Cincinnati to work with the Alliance Cincinnati. I spent 18 years with OSYSA and developed many current clubs, coaches and friendships. I am looking forward to contribute to the soccer culture and community. For me it is like a homecoming!”

Hold on to your wallets! The King is back in town to save soccer. Let’s see if some of his peeps follow him like they did when he got booted to Atlanta! When will people ever wake up. Best of luck to Alliance—they are going to need it!

Woe I would not have guessed this pick. He has coached at a lot of places, often not long term.
* surprising after seeing Alliance's email about lowering costs and not having a DOC that runs separate camps.
* surprising (or maybe not) that with the openings at KHA/CUP/DA, his old pals didn't hire him
* a legend in own mind ... he is a very good coach

I believe he is a better developer and coach than he is a leader of a organization. He has been to about 22 different places it seems in the past 5 years. Red flag there, no? Wish him the best though.
