Well, let’s wait for the excuses.
Last week it was, well, I guess Fairland really wasn’t that good after all.
This week it was enjoy another week and get ready for the beaten your gonna get.
Now for next week it will be you have never beat them and you never will, get ready to take that whipping.
Well Riders, you are Regional Champions and no one, except the true WJ faithful gave you a shot.
Enjoy the out of this cause you and the staff have earned this.

I don’t think you will get any excuses from the True Fort Frye Fans.
WJ QB threw the Ball with Great accuracy and Book the WR caught
13 for 210 yds. The better team won.
The only issue from this game and I think both teams would agree
we have to get instant replay. Too much on the line. The Kids work to hard
to have iffy calls potential game changing calls down the Stretch. This is
A problem that’s not going away until they start utilizing video review.

I did as well. Despite what kapuke says Ft Frye struggles with spread teams. I’m sure he has 15 excuses to explain how Ft Frye is a better team and out played West Jefferson but the final speaks for itself. Congrats Rough Riders!

Excellent win by the Riders. They earned that one. I’ll be the first to say I was wrong on this game.

Defense was bend but not break all night. Opportunistic with turnovers on multiple occasions as well as 3rd/4th down stops. They tackled pretty well in spaces, not too many broken tackles

Offensively, Wj had a great game plan. They couldn’t run it at all, so they really didn’t even try. The pass game was there all night. All the WRs were great, especially Book. Huge play when he fought for YAC to move the chains on a big 3rd down play in the 4th quarter. O line gave Buescher time all night and he was accurate finding his receivers.

Has to be a pretty sweet victory for Coach Buescher to get it done with his son as a Senior. I’d say it’s the first regional title Wj has won under Buescher as an underdog entering the game. Congrats!!
 
Wow what a gritty, physical game with both teams leaving it all on the field.

Both defenses played well and even with FF gaining ground yards and WJ gaining passing yards but both defenses bowed their necks and was stingy with giving up points. Both offenses had key mistakes with FF fumble going at goalline which otherwise would likely been score for them. WJ throwing pick 6 to allow FF to take the lead.

Keys to game..........WJ defense holding FF to 7 points; WJ giving TB time to throw the ball; WJ kicker making extra point and field goal after missing 1st extra point of the game.

Great win for WJ and earn another regional title.
 
Yes, it would be nice to see Kaponk’s review of last nights game.

Congrats to FF seniors on a great season and career. Over their 4 years they have taken FF from a nobody to a team to be reckoned with in Div VI. The FF qb was a gamer. If WJ and FF remain in the same division/region perhaps they will meet again.
 
Congrats to WJ on a good win! And good luck going forward.

As for my recap of the game both defenses played a bend don’t break defense. A lot of yards were gained but not a lot of points scored. The fumble on the goal line in the first half was huge. WJ oline played great and kept the QB clean for most of the game. That QB can sling the ball!

Hopefully WJ can bring home the title for region 23!
 
Come on kaponk I know your reading the comments it’s time for you to eat the crow and I want to watch what’s your excuse
 
Congrats to WJ! They are peaking at the right time. After watching the Mburg game no way would I have believed they would have stepped up like they have. Kudos to them…one of my favorite programs to watch. FF is a top notch program as well and will be right back again next year.
