beating that team 19-0 isn’t something to beat your chest about. No reason Poland should lose to Canfield next week tho they should be 4-0 going into conference games

That was a ugly game with the down pour for both teams. Hubbard threw the ball 80% of the time through the first two weeks but passing was non-existent last night for both teams. Defense played good. Howland got their field goal after intercepting Hubbard and converting on a fake punt. Besides that Hubbard shut them down. I do like that Hubbard moved the ball enough on jets and power running to put it away.

Olmsted is pretty legit. I could easily see Canfield winning that game. And that's not a knock on Poland. Rivals, ect
On a brighter side, Hubbard actually needed a game like this to finally establish their run game to be more balanced going forward.

Agreed. I know what Howland has been expectation wise but it’s at least a good confidence builder moving forward. The passing game gives us a shot but if they’re going to compete with the better teams in the conference they’re going to have to be able to run the ball. Especially in the red zone.

Struthers @ Girard- Cats come in hungry and look to prove their off season hype. Cats win 28-10
Hubbard - Niles- the red dragons surprised the football world last night and defeated the Astatula Lakeside dragons by a healthy margin. do not think they beat Hubbard though but will be closer than what most think. 28-18
South range - Lakeview - I think lakeviews struggles last week were bc of weather and having their best player out. Assuming he is playing, I’m taking Lakeview to lose this one, but in a tight game. 35-21 range.
Poland- Canfield- Having seen Canfield personally I think they are the worst canfield team since 2013 possibly. Poland is a ? Since they have played 3 schools that no one has winning over 3 games on the season. Can they win? YES! Dogs pull away in the second half. 27-15

Sources say he feels a lot better today. The backup is pretty good too, has a few touchdowns on the season. The tailback (1300 yard plus guy) and the oline can carry the load if needed I believe through the conference. They will miss dukes more on defense. But that’s if he misses any time. That’s still up in the air

Canfield's talent is not comparable to those years where they had losing records, they aren't as good as the past two years but they are plenty good to beat Poland with a good coach and good execution. Obviously the coaching and execution have been terrible this year, so Poland wins easily.

Backup is very athletic. Has a couple return touchdowns the last 2 years and scored twice last night

Should be an interesting battle. Poland coming in undefeated and playing with confidence. Canfield 1-2 and yet to find their identity. Battle of 224 should bring energy and excitement.

To me heading into conference play if Poland doesn’t win going away they’re gonna be in trouble
IMHO, rivalry game and better schedule helps Canfield keep this one close, but Poland puts one in late to win 21-14

If you are referring to Poland vs Canfield, I would be very surprised if it is the game, last I heard they were looking at a game in PA for this week. They will only select this game as a last resort.

Young Poland Team- rained the entire game, had several touchdowns called back and held several players out of the game. Will find out who they are over the next few weeks. Canfield, Hubbard and South Range...

Western Reserve vs McDonald. Tossup IMO
West Branch vs Chaney I don't think this game will be close, but it may be the only chance to showcase an undefeated West Branch team.

The best PA matchup is Sharon- Hickory but they already showed the Hornets

I would imagine it goes to Hickory-Sharon game, they’ve already showcased Ursuline twice so why not show Hickory again. WR-Mcdonald would make the most sense but i don’t see it happening. SR-Lakeview wouldn’t happen as I’m sure next week SR-Struthers is sure to get the bid pending friday night results. WB-Chaney isn’t an awful idea but i don’t see it happening either.
