At times this was a very competitive game but in the end, the Tigers (4-1) even minus two players had way too much firepower. The Tigers hit 48.5% of their shots compared to just 36.5% of theirs. Ja'Vonte Smart (Baton Rouge, LA) led the winners with 26 points, 6 boards, and 5 assists. Cameron Thomas (Chesapeake, VA) added 19 points. For Sam Houston State (3-4) Demarkus Lampley (Phenix City, AL) led the way with 16 points.
