The senior class of 07 is a fine group of young men who are enhance by the 08 & 09 classs. This group is an example of excellent student athletes which will prevail in having a championship football season in 2006:
Here are the facts and trends they must overcome:
1) Moeller currently has a 4 game losing streak, the longest in school history (St. Ed’s, X, Wayne and Lakota West).
2) In the last 4 games, Moeller has averaged 13 points per game (ppg) while the opponents have scored an average of 25 ppg.
3) Moeller has a 6-7 record which includes the last game in 04 all games in 05 and 1 in 06.
4) In the last 9 games, (excluding the 1st 3 games of 05, Withrow, Cov. Catholic and Toledo St. Francis) Moeller has averaged 24.3 ppg while the opponents averaged 22.1 ppg. (Moe scored 47 on Henderson County, 45 on Elder and 44 on Columbus St. Francis which is included in the average).
5) Including all years, Moeller has scored on average 28.3 ppg while opponents have score on average 11.5 ppg.
6) Moeller in the past two years has a 3-3 record in the GCL and has averaged 23.8 ppg while the opponents have scored on average 22.1 ppg
7) Moeller has not had a senior quarterback on their team in the last 8 games. Moeller had two sophomores on the rooster going into the playoff season in 05. The current junior quarterback is 2-5 with two sophomores as his back up.
8) The class of 07, had 5 offensive and 5 defensive sophomores who dressed varsity in 04’, Defense: all return with the addtion of 1 from the offense: Offense: 2 remain, 1 has moved to defense and 2 have left the team and the school.
