Legendary coach Gene Ford passed away this morning after a battle with cancer. He was 67.

Gene was a heckuva good player at Indian Valley North too even though he was only 5'8". He was first-team All-Ohio in 1970.

He was such a great coach because he put relationships ahead of winning and therefore rewarded with many, many victories. Great guy who loved life. Happy trails Gene!

Great coach and man. No wonder his boys both played D1 at Ohio University and now head coaches at Akron and Stony Brook
