$$$ for Marion Local vs. Coldwater 50/50 winner

For reference I saw on twitter they entered the game with having already sold over $11,000 worth of tickets

I told a couple people about this amount and they simply did not believe it. It's too bad other schools don't follow the MAC's plan for selling the 50/50 tickets.
I'm shocked more schools don't sell around the community all week. Even if you're a school with that rakes $400, you could rake $500 or $600 if you sell all week.

So, how do they sell pre game 50/50? Door to door? Presale at the AD office? Local barbershop?
I didnt even know presale 50/50 existed

Why do we post this every year? I mean, come on, man....their 50/50 is ALWAYS really high and then we act surprised. ;)

The exact amount of the winner's share was $22,483. The guy that won was from out of town, but his dad was originally from Coldwater. He drives from over an hour away each year to watch the game.

I think there are a lot of schools who take private donations and make a lot more then $22000 on a football 50/50 I believe Liberty Center had a football turf field donated they have a golf outting that takes 2 days to run and makes a huge amount of $$ a night at the races event for adults to raise money and also have a lot of private donations that annually come in around $50-$70k guessing it’s awesome how small schools get these donations

The MAC schools do that as well. ML has a Booster golf outing for example. It just kind of shocking that a small high school football game was able to put almost as much into a split the pot as some NFL games

To think CW only raises money thru this fiddy-fiddy is short sided.

They do the John Reed Golf scramble, other fund raisers and the night of the Anna game this year held their booster.club night at the park and raised well north of 30K that evening.

Next yr that event will be held when the cavs host minster...so all yall ten cent millionaires from the suburb of New Bremen come early to the park and spend some $$$$..and don't worry we won't blow 5K of it skydiving the game ball in.....

When I buy them at the Reds games they call them split the pot so no lies have been told.

When you go off to college you pick up some of the lingo. I started calling pop, soda...
