Surprised that Minerva bumped away from Stecker, that could have been a big swing match in the dual. I think they counted too much on the rest of the lineup to make up the points. Looking closer at the results the Quakers won 5 matches by 2 points or less and 1 in OT. That's basically every competitive weight going their way, a real nice win for them.

All EBC teams will compete tomorrow and Saturday at TopGun. Salem is back at TopGun for the first time in recent memory. Another good add to their improved strength of schedule this year.

There will likely be a good share of dual previews on day 2.

Look for Carrollton to be top 5 again, Minerva rounding out the top 10, Salem/Marlington top 15 range, Alliance bottom 10, and West Branch should be wrestling to avoid a last place finish.

Carrollton seems to have only entered in a handful of guys, possibly due to points or load management. But their main four at 106, 113, 132, and 138 should still be enough to propel a solid finish.

I know this is past but WB only took 4 or 5 kids no freshman went.

Matches were 6-6 through 190. Carrollton wins a close one at 215 and an OT pin at HVY. An electric dual to watch. Carrollton’s poise and discipline was too much for Salem to overcome. Carrollton is very good 106-138, Salem is tough from 138-190. Salem’s lightweights could not hold off the bonus. Great turnout and environment by Carrollton and an even better send off for the seniors who - as expected - are well on their way to another EBC title.
 
Any word on Marlington/Minerva?

Had to pick and choose which dual to attend. I expected some fireworks in that dual as well.

Lol for what it’s worth, if the dual started at 144 Carrollton would’ve been down 27-0 going into 215. Works both ways… Salem and Carrollton will be decided by a match next year

The win at 215 was massive, probably the best match he's wrestled all year all things considered

I think both teams get a win at 126/132, and bonus points and 165 play a big role.

Lions can win if they bump their 38 44 50 57 a weight. The 175 can also win at 190. I haven’t seen the 215 or 285 for Minerva this year but I know they were a weak spot for them last year. A win at one of those weights would help a ton
