Please don’t think all of Celina fans are like this. I don’t know very many of us who are that confidentI just hope it’s close.
If Celina had to play the best teams in the gcl every year but last year, we would’ve probably gotten destroyed.

There is a lot that I’d do different but it would be too long to type and I don’t want to bother this d3 chat with too many more posts about this team. Just for starters though, Celina couldn’t even get the basics down this year. Jumping offsides almost every drive is unacceptable. We couldn’t hold onto the ball this year, special teams was horrible, letting up big returns all year, clock management was terrible, we don’t know how to run under center, nobody gathering to the ball and much more. We couldn’t get the basic fundamentals of football down. Peewee level stuff. It’s embarrassing after winning the region a year ago. And I’m afraid it might not get any better the next few years. I’ve got possible solutions, but like I said, to give a solution to all of that would make this post even longer than it needs to be.
I admired your confidence in this team, but I’m a realist, and I knew we were probably not walking out with a win in this one. Can’t win big games if you can’t even get the easier stuff down. Also, Celina was 2-4 in away games this year. Not a stat that pans out well in the playoffs.

Tell that to Wapak who only had 9:00 TOTAL T.O.P for the entire game when they rolled into St Marys and they still scored 28. Not saying St Marys hasn’t improved and I am so sick of hearing about Tipp putting a running clock on everyone in R12. Hopefully St Marys brings their A game and can make some things happen, but I still don’t see it being enough.

Damn you have all the answers. Maybe you should coach. I mean coming from someone who played the game from pee wee to your sophomore year and wait only won 10 games. I bet back then you had all the answers too. I bet it was always the coaches fault. lol. Love the band wagon fans.
Coaching is a big part of it yes. There’s a reason why teams like coldwater and Marion, in the same county as us, are successful every year and we aren’t. I have a hard time believing that they’re getting that much more talent than we are. They have about 100 less kids than us per class too. I love coach Bader, I think he’s a great guy, but there’s no doubt that there’s been a lot of coaching issues the last few years. There’s a reason 90% of the staff got wiped in 2022. If I was a bandwagon fan, I would’ve stopped rooting for them during those years of losing. Just want to see the program succeed.

I watched Bellbrook earlier in the year, I've seen McNick vs Badin. Even with the backup QB I think McNick takes this one by 10+. McNick has a solid D and the Jr QB can sling it around to go along with a solid run game. Bellbrook wants to run the ball, McNick is good at stopping the run. I see a 24-14 type game.

After seeing both Bellbrook and McNick play. I would give the edge to McNick. They’re more explosive offensively. I like the rockets by double digits.

I’ll take Bellbrook with the home field advantage . They’re rolling right now , the quarterback is gaining confidence and the defense is arguably the best defense in region 12 .

Big emphasis on arguably, while I don’t disagree that Bellbrook is really good and particularly have a great defense, there is a team in this region who put up 350 yards on that defense despite throwing two picks and losing a fumble, while also holding that offense to 90 yards. I know you’ll say first game and team is young, but this is the youngest Tipp team in recent memory too. Now I do expect Bellbrook to win, given McNick’s QB is out and then they will have a tough tough matchup with Wapak. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a rematch between Tipp and Bellbrook in the regional final.
However, I don’t agree that Bellbrook’s offense is “hitting its stride”, they’ve scored more than 20 points just 6 times this season against Bellefontaine (35), Ponitz (63), Franklin (31), Monroe (38), Oakwood (31), Meadowdale (47). Excluding Meadowdale, those teams are a combined 19-34. With 8 of those wins coming from Bellefontaine.
Notably, Bellbrook scored only 14 against Ross (4-7) and 13 against Edgewood (3-8). Again, I do think they have a great defense, but their offense will be their downfall.

Batavia came back from 21 down to tie the game 34-34 in the 4th quarter. They shut down Wilmington's run-game in the 2nd half for the most part. Wilmington only won on a field goal with 1 second left on the clock.
It was evenly matched again. You naysayers on Batavia have issues.

I think r12 is pretty even across the top 5 left. I do think it's always hard to beat a pretty even matched team twice. Also It's more fun if we don't all agree with Fried that Tipp winning is inevitable. I'd probably take London right now if I had to bet and Wapa would be my 2nd bet.

#8 St Mary’s @ #1 Tippecanoe: I honestly don’t see this game being close, Tippecanoe by 21+
#10 Wilmington @ #2 Wapakoneta: I think this game is going to be a lot closer then what most people think. I think Wapak pulls it off in the end. Wapak by 7.
#6 Archbishop McNicholas @ #3 Bellbrook: I’ve been impressed with Bellbrook this year young team and have found a way to win. I see this being game of the week in R12 and could go either way. Bellbrook by 1.
#12 Chaminade Julienne @ #4 London: this is going to be a classic ground and pound game. As much as I’d like to see our CBC foe push on I think CJ and that big O-line will be to much for London. I wouldn’t consider this an upset but I’m gonna take CJ by 7.

I could see that happening with Wapak-Wilmington. They met in the first round two years ago. Wapak was #4 seed and Wilmington #13 seed. Wapak only won at home 28-14.
Tipp-St Marys could go a million ways. SM struggled more against Miami Trace than expected, but perhaps could use the adrenaline of that hail mary touchdown to come out with a new fire this week. St Marys is a bit of a hard team to nail down. They either find themselves in low scoring slugfests (i.e. Defiance and O-G this season) or shootouts (i.e. Elida & Bath). I'd expect the former here, lower scoring hard fought than a shootout, but I could certainly see Tipp winning by two scores.
