WB lowest point total for a game this year is 33. And they won that game. Their defense has improved quite a bit over the season. Key to beating WB is being able to run the ball and control the clock. Their two losses this year the opponents threw the ball a total of 7 times.I’ve watched some Western Brown the past few years. But don’t know a whole lot about Granville. I know Western Browns offense with that Novak kid is pretty good. They put some decent numbers up on quality teams this year. But in my opinion if you stop their offense then WB is gonna have a tough night. That being said I don’t know much about Granville so I could be wrong

Obviously shutting down their offense would be the best bet. But I'll believe it when I see it.
I heard their starting QB was out for the season the week for the London game, and he wasn't listed as a starter last week - but then he was out there on the first play.. Seemed to be moving okay, then went down for good in the second quarter. If he'd alread torn his ACL the previous week, then he must have a lot of toughness for even trying to play last week. Second-string guy seemed to have enough poise - maybe not quite as quick, but looked like he was mentally prepared. Hard to say how he'll do for an entire game.So am i hearing correctly, Granville QB tore his ACL? That is very unfortunate if true. I've seen limited film in Granville but they play a physical style of fb which historically gives "Anderson Light" Western Brown fits
Again I’ve heard it wasn’t a acl injury misdiagnosed that’s why he played but landed back on it and hurt it Never know he might be back this weekendI heard their starting QB was out for the season the week for the London game, and he wasn't listed as a starter last week - but then he was out there on the first play.. I'm not an x's and o's guy, but I watched the Granville-London game last week, and my impression was also that they are very physical. Is that something like a double-wing offense? All I know is it's quick, hard-hitting, and that running back they have seems to be like the Energizer bunny. I think he carried the ball on 9 out of every 10 plays.
So your saying WB has a hard time stoping the runMonroe had an interesting game-plan. It appeared they knew they couldn't stop WB, but they also knew that WB couldn't stop them. Monroe pouch or short kicked all of their kickoffs, giving WB a short field and the opportunity to score quickly so they could get the ball back and grind out the clock. I think the final score was like 63-58 Monroe and Monroe's fullback set a school record with 403 yards rushing in the game.
That massie game was a bit of an exception to the rule as far as behavior goes. I've never rooted for massie to win a game(respect the heck out of them but they've whipped my butt too many times for me to want them to win lol) until that game. It looked like they went out thinking they were going to "Bully the Bully" and it backfired.I like Granville in this one….WB certainly had the easy side of the bracket…Hartley destroyed them a year ago. Granville is pretty physical.
I watched the WB/Massie game and the personal fouls in the first Q were unreal - five of them total?
I would agree - probably had something to do with Massie laying 86 on them the years before. WB didn’t act the same against Wilmington when I watched that. That massie game was a bit of an exception to the rule as far as behavior goes. I haven't seen enough of Granville to make a decision. All I could find was week 2. And I doubt either team is much like their week 2 versions. Looked like Granville operated out of the gun mostly which WB seems to have a better handle on defensively than an under center approach. I'm curious to see if a defense can hold WBs offense to less than 30 points for the first time this year. WB isn't afraid to play physical this year(hasn't always been the case) so just being physical isn't necessarily an automatic win.I would agree - probably had something to do with Massie laying 86 on them the years before. I could be very wrong, but I see Granville controlling this one.
Wb already holding already Zebras not callingHopefully for both teams we have a quality officiating crew.
Hopefully they disallow the Bullhorns in the Student Sections.
Hopefully the Zebras can be impartial and consistent.
Hopefully it will be a a Great Game.
Good Luck to both Teams play your Best Game.
Jackson fans were rightOne heck of a run at the end by WB. Granville is the real deal.
WB May Hold...Granville Oline just Tackles. No reason to Hold Just Tackle.Jackson fans were right
Wb holds a lot every play
