Not if you have assistant coaches from previous staff who are in or around the building and keep it going. Motivated kids, and CJ kids are motivated, will continue to work even with the new coach uncertainty.

He had three straight 0-10’s in a league where no one has won a playoff game since 2006. Kids would treat film sessions as optional, so they could never get anywhere and kept sputtering into the same old pit after three weeks.

Good guy. Even greater example of where “the football coach is the AD” can go awry. I understand C-J has a standard and it’s his alma, but it would require a significant change in mentality and approach for him to have a successful/improved second head coaching stint… in a much stiffer league, to boot.

Even motivated kids and motivated staff need and deserve to know who will be at the helm. Staff especially...... what if whoever is hired, decides not to bring anyone back, even if they were the ones keeping the offseason going for the past few months.

A decision should have been made a LONG time ago.

from my understanding the guy they wanted to hire backed out, other than that its been pretty tight lip, it's getting late. I would expect the staff to stay at this point if Colvin didn't bring them over, it's hard to create a staff this late in the process
 
Who did Colvin bring or add at Beavercreek?

Entering Spring Break and no HS FB coach hired yet????????
 
I think Jacob Storms would be a great option for the CJ head coaching position. He has a lot of experience with the game of football and has a great way of motivating kids.
 
This late in the year…Earl White should be the choice. Only head Coach without a job right now. He has experience and wins. He will boost enrollment too.
 
Earl White had some good teams at Belmont a few years ago; Couldn't get it together in the playoffs because they were probably the smallest DII team in their regions. Earl White also had some of the baddest dudes out of DPS when had a dominant run at Thurgood for about 4-5 years; Always helped having DI speed and a QB who could block in that double wing T offense: I wonder what offense he will bring with him to CJ
 
I doubt there’s many coaches out there available with the resume White brings. I expect him to have them winning right away. Let’s hope he’s the right fit for the job!

Will he be taking a teaching position at CJ or will he remain working in DPS. This should open the door for more kids from DPS to attend CJ.

This factor has the ability to get CJ to the next level. In the DPS system the best talent in the city has tended to follow Coach White.

True but I don’t know if “Double Wing” will fly at CJ. I think they may need multiple offensive sets to keep the typical skill kids they’ve had in past.

Not sure. What kind of role does he have with DPS? I just saw they filled the role Colvin took over this past year in Student Services.
