COMPETITION - Compete against other Cincinnati area high school golfers of your skill level. Weekly pairings will change, but you will play against others at a similar skill level.

STATISTICS - Each Tour player will have their full scorecard available online with certain statistics calculated including handicap. What a great way to track your performance over the season and to compare your skill level to other area golfers!

SCHEDULE - The Tour will be comprised of an 8 event schedule played over June and July. One 18 hole match per week. Matches will be played on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with the most occurring on Tuesday.

COURSES - We will strive to select some of the best courses in Cincinnati. These are now posted.

DIVISIONS - We will have 2 divisions: GOLD and SILVER. The GOLD division will be comprised of players with a 14 or less handicap for men's and 32 or less for women's. SILVER will be comprised of a 15 handicap or above for men's, 33 or above for women's. Players will request their own division. Final placement will be determined by the prior year's high school average as well as input from the high school coach. NOTE: The handicap divisor separating GOLD and SILVER may be adjusted depending on feedback during this first season.

RULES - Playing rules will be the same as to what is followed during high school play.

SCORING - All players will earn points based upon their finish in each event. Each participant adds 10 points to the pool. For example, if there are 25 players participating in a Mens GOLD event the champion receives 250 points, runner-up 240 points... 25th place 10 points. The player will the most points at the conclusion of the season will be deemed champion. If a tie exists, we will have one 18 hole playoff round.

PRIZES - The CAG Tour will award 5 separate $100 prizes. Prizes will be in the form of gift cards to a golf related vendor. This vendor is currently TBD. Winners will be randomly drawn from all participating players on the tour. NOTE: NCAA rules prevent us from awarding these types of prizes for placement, so we will random draw so that everyone gets an opportunity!

AWARDS - GOLD Champions will receive custom embroidered golf jackets. GOLD & SILVER champions and runner-ups will receive trophies in recognition of their achievements.

TOURNAMENT - An end of year tournament will be held. Pairings will be determined by current CAG handicap. I.e. pairings will be similar to "PGA tour Sunday".

NEWSLETTER - The CAG Tour will send out newsletters frequently that will help promote a "golf community" feel. We will publish weekly champions, provide player "spotlights", let you know about local and national events, list golf category leaders (i.e. scoring avg, birdies, putts, saves, etc.), instructional articles, and any personal or unusual experience you may have had on the golf course.

What yardages are you planning on playing for each division? If it's not competitive enough you're not going to get the numbers. Right now there are so many tours out there already;

-Southern Ohio PGA Junior tour (one day tournaments)
-GCGA Junior tour (one day tournaments)
-AJGA (very competitive multi-day)
-MAJGT (competitive multi-day)
-FCWT (competitive multi-day)
-OVGA (don't know much about this one but it's geared to high school)

Our yardages are based upon the division you participate. i.e. GOLD / SILVER. Yes there are other Tours out there, but the major differences are that our greens fees avg $17 (after membership fees, but still cheaper in the long run), all events are local at quality courses, we provide a separate web page for each player along with cummulative stats, and we'll give away $500 in prizes along with top notch trophies for our top finishers. We currently have 50 members in our first year as of April 15. Check out our website for latest updates.
